Fortress Under Siege

A game I always come back to is such a great game and a gem of its time

I remember playing this game over a decade ago alongside pocket edition Minecraft. I redownloaded it and within 24 hours I’ve beat the main story, Glory Mode, and Crusader Mode. I’d hope there would be more updates (story-wise/bosses/different levels). I had to afk some battles just to get more money. (Not because it was challenging but to stack up) I’ve never had to buy gold for this game and neither should anyone else. You don’t have to buy gold to pass a battle, you just have to switch up your strategy. So if you’re stuck, perhaps consider a labyrinth of traps instead of being overwhelmed by superior numbers. Crusader mode was more challenging but it was all a matter of placing more traps and countering the Catapults, battering rams, and the spear rams.( idk what they’re actually called). Those fire pits come in handy against those. I got it to where every defeat got me almost 1k gold. Very easy to load up on. Overall this game brought me back to my childhood and I have two more days of this 4 day weekend so now I get to go all out in Glory Mode. Having an Offensive mode would be cool, and change the dynamic and build up of the game. I can see why the developers shy away from it. It would require a different construction aspect of the game. I see people asking for an “infinite mode”. It could work but would have to go hand in hand with repairing and adding more troops. Otherwise it would be a one sided fight pretty fast. The story is awesome, dialogue could be tweaked a bit but to my understanding; English isn’t the developer’s first language so it’s okay. Maybe update the magic tower so there isn't long cooldowns to use fire. I’m sure a lot of my peers would appreciate that. I would like to see more story to be flushed out from this game. But considering how it’s been over a decade, I doubt these changes will happen. Unfortunate because I ; (and many others I’d bet) would keep playing and bring more attention/revenue to the author/creators of Fortress under Siege. ….Well done on this fantastic game, wish there was more to play. But that’s a great problem to have….

I yearn for a game that has similar dynamics as this one.

So I got a ways into the game having fun but then I get to a level where none of the Ai for the soldiers will move faster than a slow stumble yet the enemy’s will still run. The only way to take down that many archers is if you rush them, it’s not much of a rush if your army walks at the enemy. It was so enraging to see a HORSEMAN WALKING at an archer SHOOTING HIM. No issues up until this level. Not sure why

Awesome game but please make new versions our update the game if it cost me something im gonna buy it with no regret at all.

I love this game and all and I was wondering do the enemies get a little stronger as you do a new gameplay?

But it won’t let me restart an entire series of fights. I played the third campaign poorly and it won’t let me restart from round 1 w all my gold.

Full marks to my feelings, I came into contact with this game in my primary school nearly 10 years ago. At that time, I played it on Android phones.Google was not available in China, and there were many ways to download it on Android, so it was probably not the legitimate version. In addition, the game is good, I really like this kind of strategy games, now it is a supplementary ticket

Overall this game is fun. But it has some major issues. The main problem with this game is story and glory mode are way too easy. I beat them both easily in glory mode i probably lost 3 men total. Then you get to crusader mode and it turns to extreme difficulty. On my current level I’ve spent around 60k gold and still can’t win. The attackers are way OP. It’s not like the AI uses a better strategy but their troops simply can’t go down. I never figured out how to use the pitch to light enemies the tutorial simply says use fire arrows to light the pitch but I have no idea how to do that. My last thing is, I had big hopes that the crusader mode would be an offensive mode. Please ad an offensive mode to this game. By the way, the gold prices are absolutely insane, 1$ gets you 1k gold and it doesn’t get cheaper as you move up in price tiers. For this reason I will NEVER spend money on this game. A smarter move would be to watch ads for gold if you’re going to make the price that high

No way to increase screen size to accommodate iPad screen. When you zoom in the screen remains approximately 3” x 5”.
