Français Authentique

I’ve been learning french for 5 years & have tried lots of different methods, including a few apps, & Johan & français authentique is by far the best. He speaks slowly & clearly & provides transcripts, which really helps accelerate learning. If you want to improve your french comprehension & speaking skills, this is the app for you.

Follow this method and you will not be disappointed. Podcasts are clear and subjects interesting and varied. With archives of podcasts one always has something of interest. It is brilliant. You need to be able to understand a bit of French, but throw away the grammar books, follow this method and you will find your self speaking French with confidence.

Johan is a systematic and dedicated person who provides a steady flow of quality French content, including many free podcasts with transcripts. After one year of learning French, I started tuning in to his podcasts and found that listening to French alone, without the constant translations into English that many podcasters provide, was a much more intensive and efficacious method of learning. Since the transcripts are available, you can always look up the meanings of words and learn more in the process. Johan has a particular gift for describing words and expressions in French by using other words and expressions; this means that one learns words along with their synonyms and expands one's vocabulary in a natural, organic way. I recommend this app and Johan's podcast to any person who is ready to leave translations behind and take flight, at long last, into a purely French world. Thank you, Johan.

Terrific, Johan! A fantastic resource. I prefer my iPad and iPod for learning French and only get on my desktop computer every few days so I certainly came across your Francais Authentique at the right time. I've listened to a few podcasts and also looked at the transcripts after I've tested my listening skills, and always find a few new words where I've guessed the meaning from the context, which is heartening. I have done the Sept Règles (free) and found it excellent and out of appreciation of all these amazing resources I have just bought Packs 1,2, and 3, which I'm finding the same wonderful quality as the freebies. I've done 3 years of French at University and my whole life I've been disappointed that I couldn't understand fluent French, nor speak fluently.
