Surprisingly “Very Good!!!”
I really want to play this game again so can u pls update pls
This game actually looks and works so much like early Dragon Quest games that it may be correct to call it a Dragon Quest clone, but if it is one, it is a good one. :) A lot of the player's time will be spent exploring the massive world map, and it takes quite an effort to find your way from place to place even early on. This may not be for everyone in that regard, but me, I like it. :) In fact, the player has enough freedom to explore that often the only thing keeping you from a further region is party level & equipment. My only issue with this game is the graphical glitches that sometimes arise while moving around. I have to remove the game from active memory to remedy this. But I enjoy and love this game. :) It even has a bit of humor. I would happily buy and play the English-language versions of Gailardia 2&3 if the developer hadn't asked new players not to.
Outstanding turn based old school RPG. If you loved the 8 bit Dragon Warriors and Final Fantasy, this is a game for you.
It is Very reminiscent of the old Dragon Quest/Warrior games on the old Nintendo which I see as a good thing, but if you didn't like those, you probably won't like this either. I'd like to give the game 5 stars, but there are some issues. It occasionally glitches graphically. A save and restart fixes the problem but it happens fairly often. It can be hard to figure out what to do next, especially after getting the boat. The "hints" from the townsfolk aren't that useful and there's some dialog that doesn't make any sense (probably translation errors). I'm a little torn on this because I don't really want it completely spelled out, but a little more direction might be nice and it's not that clear which of the townsfolk's issues are things you can actually affect and which are just for added interest (I'm looking at you, Sally and Wood). It also requires a LOT of grinding. Again, this is how the old school JRPGs worked, but nowadays I'd prefer to actually do stuff while killing monsters.
Really nice game I think the update for iPhone 5 screen would be nice. And the select button shouldn't go to the menu there is a button for that already... But great dq replica!
Great classic style rpg. Better than a lot of them out there! Too many action rpgs out there. My only complaint is that there are no battle animations. No distinction between swords, knives, or even spells. Other than that almost perfect!!!
Reminiscent of old-school Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest, this game is a must have for any mobile fantasy gamer. After scouring the app store for actual RPGs in the sea of dissapointment known as the "Role-Playing Game" section of the app store, I finally found a free turn-based combat JRPG, which is no easy task. Finally after ages of forced content with action RPGs I have found the holy grail of Free iOS RPGs. Get this game.
Fantastic game. Nothing better than an old school RPG.
If you ever liked any of the many older JRPGs from the NES/SNES era, this one might be for you. Very remniscent of games such as the early Dragon Quests, or Lufia. Reminds me of both in various ways.... and that's a good thing. I tend to find that many recent RPGs just dont do it for me (particularly Square's). Often too easy, and having more cutscenes than gameplay, I have a hard time paying attention to some of them. Not so here. The actual gameplay takes center stage in the same way as those older games, and the challenge level is high compared to recent ones. And exploration is actually encouraged..... as opposed to many recent games where it seems to barely be there at all. Be warned though.... as I said above it IS harder than current games, the encounter rate is high, you cant carry 10 squillion healing items with you, and it's possible to get lost. If you're like me though, and you dont consider these to be BAD things.... then you need this. I'll definitely be picking up the sequels. Brilliant game.
