Here are some FAQ regarding our app:
1. What is the relationship between ETH address and NFT Art Galleries?
- The relationship between an ETH address and a non-fungible token (NFT) is such that an ETH address/wallet is the owner of certain non-fungible tokens. Those tokens comprise digital assets such as images and videos and are the content of our art gallery.
2. How is ETH address being used in the app?
- It is important to note that the ETH addresses we use are public and we do not currently request or store any private user data. Furthermore, we only read the contents of an ETH address which is then used to populate the app with media. Someone has to own an NFT under their ETH address in order to see it in the app. NFTs can be purchased on sites like: https://opensea.io/ or https://makersplace.com/
3. What are profiles being used for?
- User profiles will be used for multiplayer features like voice chat in a future update.
4. What happens if users do not have an ETH address?
- Nothing. They won't see anything. In a future update, we will display featured content and have ways for users to find art without having an ETH address.
5. Do users pay to get the ETH address in the app?
- No, acquiring an ETH address is free and is done outside of the app with another application like MetaMask.
6. Is a Wi-Fi connection required?
- Wifi is not required, but a strong connection signal is highly recommended when downloading large 3D models or images. Media resolution settings will be introduced in an upcoming release.
7. Metamask login is now supported. If you have a MetaMask account and app installed on your iOS device you can now authenticate your ETH address on Galeri.
8. What blockchains are currently supported?
Now including Ethereum and Polygon we are continuing to expand our list of compatible blockchains. Stay tuned for updates on Avalanche, Binance Smart Chain and more.
9. Now featuring wearable NFTs with specific collections. We may obtain TrueDepth API information from available iOS sensors in order to track the position and orientation of a face during such an AR experience. This data is only used at runtime and is not saved or shared by us or any third party.
