GarageMax, Garage Door Remote

This app is so simple and easy to use, it’s fantastic. No remotes to cart around, it just works, works every time. I would love to see Apple Watch and Shortcut support and then it would be 6 Stars.

Really happy with it works perfect with my iPhone6 as a retrofit solution to my older garage. Cheaper than buying a few new remotes. Easy enough to setup and then simply works. Easy to fit to my door which already had a press button and electrical outlet fitted about for its own power. The only tiny negative I can think of is sometime it takes about 5 seconds once you’ve opened the app for it to connect, otherwise not had a problem. Wish is was more easily available in the UK though since I had to order from the US.

Really easy to install the receiver, only takes a few minutes. Same with setting up the app. I haven’t fully tested the range yet, but it works easily from the end of my driveway. Since most of my cars are Homelink capable, I don’t need it most of the time, but one of my cars isn’t so I won’t need to carry the remote in it anymore. I also won’t need to remember to grab the remote out of my car if someone picks me up to give me a ride. And I can give access to friends and family if I need to. I evaluated the other Bluetooth-style garage door apps. This one seemed to be the best available option, as it supports up to 8 devices paired to one receiver. I’m happy with my purchase.

Doesn’t work all the time. It’s really finicky. You have to be right on it when it does work. Simple to install but expensive. I use it but I’m looking for something more reliable.

Garage mate has disappears from my apple watch. Apple store shows purchased, but cannot download. Can download Version 18, but does not work on apple watch.

These people are very helpful. Always answers questions. I have three and they work great.

Bought my fist Garagemate about five years ago and it’s still fantastic.I am going to order one for my granddaughter’s garage for her new car.They’re easy to to install and work great!

If you said yes to any of these, then this gadget is for you. I installed one in 10 minutes with no tools. Then, GarageMate did exactly what it was supposed to do: let me open and close my garage door from my iPhone.

IOS APP and iWatch APPs are just what I’ve been waiting for. Best is I don’t need to take my iPhone along when I head out for my daily workout. The iWatch app works great as well. I had a minor problem wiring to the (wrong) terminals on the opener. Five minutes on the phone which support and I was up and running.

First of all, I like that you don’t need a subscription, it’s Bluetooth. That said, you cannot operate it remotely, but I’ve never needed that anyway. I have had the Garage Mate receiver for a year now and it is really meeting my needs. In fact I love it. Works almost perfect. The support line always answered immediately and always resolved my problem. Only have called twice in the year. My last call was resolved by restarting my Apple Watch, and yes there is an app for the watch too. So nice to walk out the garage door and press the button on my watch.
