Gardener's Journal

A straight-forward app allowing you to take photos and make notes of plants in the garden. It had a sample journal entry to show me how to get started. I've kept a small gardening book since I moved house, to keep track of which plant is where, and how long it has been there. But now the book is full and I needed an app. I think this is going to work really well.

I’ve been using this app since 2018. I considered a written journal and found this. I have a full history of my gardens, years planted, where purchased and cost. With the downloaded pics I can easily see growth progress of all my plants, successes and failures, and full evolution of my ever changing gardens. con is that I can’t easily delete/edit entries. It appears there was a modification made for improvement but not seeing on mine. Other comment from a user about pinching and enlarging pics is a slight issue as well. Overall I love this app and love viewing my progress!

I’ve used this app for years to track my aloe collection, and in the last 6 months haven’t been able to open the app.

I like the journal. App allows to make more than one journal. Which I did but I can’t bring second journal up. All entries are not seen. The first journal I made several entries and I’m able to view them. Not sure why I’m not able to see 2nd journal in its entirety.

Just discovered this app yesterday and have entered all my edibles. I love the simple design and it is easy to update as I plant seeds or harvest. I also like that I can share via email. Thanks!

Update...I’ve used this for 3 years. I still like it. Doesn’t look like it has new updates so maybe no longer supported which worries me that eventually it won’t work. Would love to see it updated with picture zoom feature. I’d also like to be able to change the order of my journals. This is the perfect app for me. I just want to be able to date stamp photos of my plants and add simple notes. This does that very easily. Thanks!

Pros: I love how simple this app is to use. And how journals are set up makes total sense to me. I have a journal for each planting season (like summer 2019) and within that journal I can break it down to seed starting, planting, following each plant growing, and harvesting. Cons: I wish you could add multiple picture per entry. I also can’t seem to zoom in on pictures I’ve uploaded. It’s either at 100% or like 10,000% of one small random area that I can’t change. It'd be nice to be able to pinch zoom.

Works. Doesn’t have a lot of features on free version

Pros: easy to add entries and photos, allows you to track a plants growth Cons: only one, I created journals for different areas of my yard but if I move a plant to a new area there doesn’t seem to be a way to move that plant from one journal to another, I have to start a new entry. Otherwise I really enjoy the app and hope it remains supported!

This is such a great app! I haven't grown flowers from seeds in years so I wanted to track the growth process. The layout is simple & useful. You write an entry & you can add a picture as well. All you entries are chronologically ordered on the same page, so you can scroll through to compare notes, pictures, growth etc. This is so much better than the apps I initially downloaded. I'm glad I found it. Thanks for making such a great free app!
