I saw this system at a small office building in the Flatiron. Then after seeing it again at my friends building in the Village, I reccomended it to my property manager. It has been over a year with Gateguard and it opens doors easily and reliably. Great support and service!
The app is fine. But if someone doesn’t know how to use the system (a lot of delivery people), they end up calling you and you can’t buzz them in manually. Please add a feature to buzz someone in through the app without them buzzing us!!
The app suffers from one major problem: The UI design is poor and unintuitive. For example, when setting a guest code, you can select the days of the week that the code will be active. But there’s no indication of which toggle state is ‘active’. Does grey mean “on” or does white mean “on?” Nobody knows… and there’s no help or user manual. These sorts of things should just be obvious in the design and not require guessing or looking up.
This company is a scam, look at the app hasn’t been updated in 2 years, their intercoms are offline 60% of the time.
It works in theory, most of the times. But the app frequently crashes, and there is white text with white backgrounds making it almost impossible to see what you’re selecting. This app hasn’t been updated in a while. Please do so!
EVERY time a delivery buzzes me, I click to answer and it only shows the Home Screen of the app and no way to answer the call. The app Home Screen looks outdated and always says error when you try to add a guest. There is no feature or selection for help or service
This app is horribly designed. It has one job and that is to let you buzz people in and unlock the door. You can’t do this, though. You can only buzz someone in if they call, but the calls fail 75% of the time. If the call fails, you don’t have the option to buzz again. Please ad a buzz feature to the app!!! You shouldn’t have to be called in order to unlock the door when the call fails so often
In theory when the system works it ok. But it works 40% of the time. But I’ve owned my apt 15 years and I have had go down more time in the last six months to let people in because system wasn’t working. I’ve missed numerous deliveries So now the issue is the locksmith, but the owner of the companh all he’s was concerned about was getting me off the phone My association tried to get out if our contract but we are being told we have pay out or contract. $18k. In the morning your not able to read the screen if you have direct sunlight. I would not recommend, save your bldg the headaches and being locked in a contract for something that a alway has issues
We just had this installed in our building. While the convenience is there and does seem reliable, it’s not intuitive to delivery drivers who don’t know which resident to ring. There should be an option to unlock the door straight from the app without a buzz to cut down on frustration
