Riverchace is the best! Friendly staff! And a great environment!!!!!
My husband and I are brand new members. The staff has gone above and beyond to make us feel welcome and help us learn how to use the Y. Colleen help us get signed up and told us all about the app and what is offered st the Y. Kit was a great teacher and kind teaching us how to use the equipment. Our silver sneakers teacher, Linda, is also very kind and helpful. The y community of members are fun and friendly. We are so glad we are members.
Since rejoining in 2022, I have never experienced a visit when everything is working. Never. This includes: No soap in shower No paper towels in dispensary Steam room broken Dry sauna not working Fan in men’s locker room broken Not enough mats to work out on
Our family lives utilizing the Y, we use the app only to scan in when I don’t have the keychain card with me. The classes are difficult to find, every branch has their own version of the app and things are in different places WITHIN the same app depending on which Y you’re looking at. I’m not sure how/why the app isn’t streamlined and simple but it isn’t.
My doctor recommended I join for water rehab class after surgery so I tried to sign up 90 min after the schedule opened. Healthy Joint -Class full so I have to drive to a facility farther away. The problem is my class I want to take will be in session for the thursday class so it will probably full again by the time I get out of class. I guess you have to fight for your classes? I called with my problem and the front desk said to ask them to sign you up while I am in class. I am going to have to check the Recplex to see if they have a better way to signup for their classes. Do you realize with a Tue-Thur class the schedule opens for Tue while the Thur class is in session? This is a big problem considering the schedule opens up 48 hours before each class this is a debacle and I don’t think a member should have to fight and jump through hoops to get into a class! I don’t realize this when I signed up.
This app is so bad, more than once I’ve had to email someone in order to do a simple task like changing my location. It also needs a help/faq section. It was also incredibly difficult to even sign in for this app for the first time and I had to email someone then.
I use this app almost exclusively for the bar-code scan when I check in. And I would presume a large percentage of users do the same. It baffles me that I have to scroll down on the Home screen to get to the Check-In button. It should be more easily accessible, in my opinion. Maybe the developers need to see what the most used buttons are and do a redesign of the Home Screen. For example, the Complementary Fitness Orientation button is higher up the list than Check-In, but how often is that used? Maybe once, if at all?
There are three Ys in my area. When I sign up for a class, I always have to go back and search to see what location it’s at. It would be nice if the location came up in the notifications.
I’m getting notices that slots are opening for classes but the app says they’re full. Hmmmm. Sometimes when I try to enroll for a class the following day, the calendar doesn’t update. I’m looking at an old schedule. I have to refresh. It’s just not as intuitive as it could be.
