Glass — Photo Community

Glass is one of my favorite apps and is a great way to showcase your photography. If the price is bothering you, think of the amount of time you spend on Instagram and how much it sucks now. Glass is 100 times better, and there’s a fun community if you dig a little deeper and interact with people.

- No bookmarking or collections to save interesting photos. - No likes or “thumbs up” or upvotes. I’m introvert so I hate writing comments which means no way to easily give credit. - UI seems finicky, sometimes left to right swipe works, sometimes not. - No landscape mode so viewing 4:3 photos is awkward, and opening a photo just does this stupid 10x crash zoom effect which is even more useless.

Seriously, photo upload + profile pic isnt providing enough value for subscription. Not even a simple search/tagging done. See ya later maybe if talks and promises has changed to an actual app.

With a paywall as a landing view, I can’t access my profile info and delete my account anymore. So you must pay to be able to delete an account. Lovely dark pattern! Well done!

Beautifully designed app that puts the focus on the work over everything else. My daily dose of photographic inspiration.

An amazing place for photographers and help them share photos without ads or distractions like ads. No photo upload limit helps and also no compression on photos. Amazing app 5 stars. ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

It seemed exciting but 40$ a year to post photos on an app?! That’s not really user friendly seeing any other social media is FREE

Great app, great platform.

No quest for monetization, no fighting the algorithm. Find people who’s photos you like, start a conversation, post your photos. WITHOUT the need to crop them. What 500px was supposed to be and what you wish Instagram was. Everyone is friendly. No trolls, no bots, no scams, NO ADS and no videos. Love it. Long live Glass (hopefully). Try it and tell your friends.
