Go Button

I’ve been using Go Button for a number of years and I have always found it to reliable and fun to use. The features this small iPad package are fantastic and the customer support, whenever I contacted Brent, was spot on. If you’re comparing Go Button (GB)with another product you may find the feature list is not the same however, GB is always upgrading and looking for ways to improve their product. You will not find a better digital sound cue system on the market. Go...Button!

I’ve been using Go Button for the past 2 years of involvement in theatrical sound design. Honestly it’s a godsend, it’s super convenient to be able to run a show on my iPad or iPhone compared to a laptop, adding & manipulating cues is intuitive & straightforward, shows can be backed up onto other devices with ease, and most importantly it’s STABLE, it hasn’t crashed on me once! I highly recommended it to anyone in sound design/operation.

Good app! Exactly what I'm looking for and even better than Instant Replay (app and hardware). Two smaller features I would like to have is a custom fade out time for each hit buttons when you stop them and to be able to organise them as you want on the pages and maybe even have the cues switch to a particular page when needed. And a big feature (maybe through an in app purchase) I would love to have, would be the ability to trigger and respond to MIDI events in cues and with hit buttons.

Firstly, the app description doesn't do the app justice. It's universal. It's totally pro and easy to use. you can select a cue and press go. you can reorder cues by dragging. edit start and stop times. Fade out and stop other cues. duck all other cues for voice overs etc. Set a wait time inside a cue to start another cue. eg, play cue 1music for 20 seconds then start cue 2 while cue 1keeps going. import from email attachment. I'll add more when I put it on my iPad! This is the right app for theater guys, for sound guys who hate using iTunes and for karaoke/DJ who like to play music in between songs. And it exports the whole show, music and all!

This app performs brilliantly in a professional situation. No crashes. No bugs. Well thought out. Truly brilliant. If you're on the fence as to whether or not to buy, I too thought the price was a tad steep at first, but quickly realized that it's worth every penny. Wish list: would someday love to have the added option to initiate more than one volume level within a single track as it plays. Be proud! and thank you!

I just ran a show at the 2012 Toronto Fringe Festival using this app and it was rock solid. We had over 30 cues in our one hour show and it never missed a beat. I really like being able to move away from clunky laptops or heaven forbid cd's. The non destructive editing is great. I had a minor technical issue that was responded to almost immediately. Highly recommended.

There seems to be no way to skip back to previous songs while using a wireless Bluetooth remote. This is Crucial for running a show. And I paid $100 for this app!! I will remove this review if I receive a refund. 🙏🙏

Just one request - any way for a “hit” to change color once it has been played? It is hard to tell what has and hasn’t been played midway through a show!

I am an A1 in live event production and GO Button is my go to app when I am responsible for the audio queue. The flexibility is amazing. Often times we will have pre-recorded VOGs running over ‘walk on’ ‘walk off music’ and GO Button has the flexibility to duck the music track while the VOG is playing and then bring the audio track back up automatically. The least amount of interaction can pre-programmed and tested helping to ensure a smooth show. Until recently, I was not using the HITS portion of the app. Now I put intermission background music on HITS and also use the FADE/STOP all audio to kill it when we are back. I was using QLab for years and still love QLAB, but having my iPad makes it very convenient, plus it frees up my laptop for other functions. I am very satisfied with GO button and recommend it to my live production colleagues.
