After years of product production, I can’t believe this app is still as terrible as it is. My app detects the controller about 10% of the time. This is EXTREMELY frustrating when trying to turn off the controller remotely when in bed at night. For this reason alone I’m switching systems entirely. There should also be a feature within the app to turn the inverter off during “sleep” hours like every other product has. For the price, I expected a lot more. 3 years later and this app is still horrible.
Doesn’t work
Like all the other reviews have said, this app just doesn’t work. It says it’s connected to my controller, but doesn’t read anything.
Junk app for a junk solar controller
Our 21 Geo Pro came with a go power pwm 30 UL solar controller. The app has been about 90% unreliable, I have to pull power for it to fully reset or it won’t connect. This happens about every time we use it. This has been an issue since we bought it new.
The controller is not intuitive with respect to the buttons and the app, if it works, barely does anything. Even if it worked it would be bare bones.
Problems from the start, I read of other people having similar issues and 2 years later Go Power hasn’t done anything about it, that alone spells poor product.
Now after 2 years of light use, the readings are off and fluctuating. Then the display started rapidly flashing and it appeared to be cycling through display views. Is this going to short and cause worse issues?
FAIL!
Worthless App
A simple Bluetooth app that never works. I spent 30 minutes mucking around with the controller interface and got nothing. Against instructions, I disconnected the Negative lead and reinstalled. Bluetooth worked! And, as instructed in the support section, I disconnected from the Bluetooth device when finished. Tried to connect later and got the same “no devices” message. Did the A+B buttons for Bluetooth and still nothing. I’m giving up on the Bluetooth function and will just look at the controller display. Luckily, it’s
I’m plain view inside my camper.
App needs improvement
Never works
Frustrated
Terrible App. Went thru the process of a first time connect and it worked, until the next day. Sat at the camp site troubleshooting - “forget this device” on bluetooth, delete app, then reinstall. Nope. Soft reset and everything above. Nope. Hard reset (pita) and everything above. Finally worked, until the next day……
Repeat day after day.
Im looking for another controller
Bluetooth is terrible
App worked once, then trash. Followed all the provided YouTube instructions but nothing worked. Never paired, sometimes never saw the device and just a waste of time.
Just doesn’t work
Worked a year ago. Recently tried to connect. Seems to make Bluetooth connection, but doesn’t show any data. Totally worthless.
Can the app get worse? Yep
I installed this one year ago when I bought my trailer. It connected and let me change the name. That is it. It never displayed my battery status and now when I select the settings cog the app crashes and closes. Everytime. I uninstalled and reinstalled. Now I can no longer name my controller. Crashes each time. Fix this piece of junk app or create one that works. Perhaps a better developer. This is frustrating,
DOES NOT WORK
App worked for a month. It connects to the controller but reports blank values for all data. The app immediately crashes when clicking the settings gear.
