Terrible app quality
Freezes constantly. I have to restart my (new) phone every time I use it, just to book a car or extend my booking.
I have also received some very average customer service and poor communication from GoGet on multiple occasions. In short - I can’t wait to buy a car so I don’t have to rely on these guys anymore!
Terrible business terrible app
I genuinely loathe this app. It’s difficult to use, has an awful interface and heavily relies on a browser to book in a rental. The Goget business model is convoluted and confusing, from getting the SmartKey from a convenience store to waiting for an acceptance confirmation from Goget themselves. This business needs to do a lot to win back customers like myself who have been left out in the rain on moving day without access to one of their cars.
Issues with iOS17
App is increasingly less and less compatible with the later versions of iOS. Really needs an update
Notification glitch
App now pushes a notification every minute for 20 minutes before a booking starts.
Good service, garbage app
I don’t remember a time where the app was not broken in some way or another and I have been using GoGet for many years. The current bug as of early 2024 is that the app will start throwing errors after a while saying that you have to login again, in reality you have to force-close and reopen. Oh and don’t get me started on “Do you want reduce your liability from $0 to $0?” - what?
Charged for a non existing trip
The app has had a few hiccups, minor and recoverable, but this one takes the prize.
I booked a trip on a Thursday through app. Got confirmation from the app complete with booking number ect. Great! But when I took the trip, I was charged for a non-booked trip.
Interestingly, when I went to use the app, it had lost all my details, my booking, even email and phone number. Booking did not show on website.
Today, almost a week later, the booking HAS shown up on website, I am charged for it BUT the non-booked trip charge has now been moved to the day before, Wednesday. I DID NOT drive on Wednesday!
Online support is not responding after 4 hours of asking.
Such a shame for a worthy service.
Lesson: book through the website from now on!
App is hardly functional
The account management in the app is shocking. You’re unable to upgrade or downgrade your membership without support of an operator as the membership screen only shows your current level.
My wallet got stolen and I lost my debit card and goget card. They don’t have a process to update both at once, it took 2 days to resolve as it had to be reviewed as an anomaly. This makes no sense when you’re relying on physical cards, how can I authorize a payment to a blocked card? I can’t add a new card or a new token without operator support?
Application got rejected
Called up but the man on the phone said it’s a privacy issue and can’t tell me why my application was rejected haha
the phone app is terrible
please fix booking functionality. it is terrible atm. way too hard to see availability and when searching it forces u to enter start end times in a repetitive and clunky way. so much so, it causes wrong bookings because it defaults to something else after u select date and time. surely a good booking system should be a hygiene thing
