Easy To find what you want
I found Good Dog easy to look for what kind of puppy I was looking for. Communication from owner was easy, and loved the interaction, of watching my puppy grown.

I know my title said amazing but when I got the notification to write this review I just got the app
I just found this app and I absolutely adore it! This is where i’m gonna buy my next puppy!!❤️
It just looks puppies, but you can’t see much about the breeder. on the website, you can see the dogs health testing and information about breeders and look up breeders a lot easier.
I was a little hesitant but thanks to the vetting process I was able to find my beautifully bred and well tempered Dalmatian puppy from a wonderful breeder. Thanks to the chat via the app, I was able to stay in contact communication regarding the buying and travel arrangements. And even well after I got the puppy I was able to stay in contact with the breeder to give pupdates lol! The website/app and Facebook group has given me the tools to teach him and understand him better well into his teen phase. He has passed his AKC STAR PUPPY and is well on his way to passing the CGC with the potential of becoming a service dog. When the day comes when I have to lay my dogs to rest, this is the app I would always come back to to find my next best friend.
I love the accessibility of this app as far as finding breeders, having different options to ship/locate the dogs, as well as keeping good tabs with breeders and puppies you inquired about. However, when a deposit states refundable, and the breeder fails to honor that, customer service wants you to wait an additional 48 hours before they even try to help you, with refunds normally taking 5-7 days to hit the bank. So basically I have waited a week and it would’ve been 2 weeks if I decided to wait for customer service to help me. This is a lot of money that as I told the breeder, I have suddenly encountered an unfortunate life situation which has caused me to cancel. She took advantage of my naivety of being new to the app as well as my kindness and tried to keep my money. I waited 4 days after contacting customer service and I will not wait anymore. There should be a more accessible option to receive your refund when it clearly states refundable. I ended up having to make a claim through my bank because I can’t just have someone withholding over $300 from me for 2 weeks when I graciously told her I was struggling.
If you need a refund the app claims department will tell you not to contact your Bank and file a claim. They protect the breeder not the the client.
At first, the app seemed like a really reputable and good user-friendly application. I happen to come across a pair of breeders who were running an unethical business and it was clear. They were lying about their certifications with certain groups like AKC and ASDR, which then leaves you to believe that Good Dog is not actually checking up on their breeders that they allow on their apps. Plus they allow the breeders to put whatever information they want unchecked. I love dogs, even if it wasn’t my dog I felt there was only proper that I let Good Dog know about unethical breeders. The breeders were only in business for almost the year, and there is no proof that they ever have sold a dog to a customer that is not a friend or family member. When I went to Good Dog to notify them about my concerns instead of investigating the breeders which they have never even been on their facility nor has anyone from what I have learned, they instead froze my account. That is when I realize that Good Dog does not actually care about dogs, where/who they coming from, or how they are being raised. They are just a tech company they have no interest in the care of these dogs. They just have a technology to bring seller and buyer together. Again, extremely unethical because in this case, this is not just a product this is a living being and there are laws and rules in place for breeders. Good Dog should be held accountable. I do not know how they have a 4.9 star rating. They have fix that just like their breeders make up their accounts and credentials. It’s no secret that you could pay for reviews. So overall, if you love dogs, do not pay attention to that 4.9 review this is a tech company paid for those fake reviews. I would recommend going to AKC or ASDR directly. Make sure you know your breeders rather than just talking to them through some 3rd party app that tells you who they are. If I could give zero stars, I would. Follow the one star reviews they all follow the same theme that I am which is that I cannot support an app that allows these unethical breeders to sell on. All the five star reviews are paid for and fake bots LASTLY DONT LET GOOD DOGS RESPONSES TO THESE NEGATIVE REVIEWS SWAY YOU IN ANYWAY THAT “ they are trying to do better” or “ following safety protocols for the dog safety” OR ANY OF THESE RIDICULOUS RESPONSES. I MYSELF AND A LAWYER AND HAVE READ THEIR AGREEMENTS AND DISCLOSURES. I DID NOTHING TO BREAK ANY OF THOSE TERMS. IN FACT GOOD DOG BROKE THEIR OWN TE
The customer service on this app is amazing and that is the only reason why I’m giving it four stars. If customers support wasn’t as great as they were, my review would definitely be a one star. We were misled and led on for several days by Natalia who sells Belgian Malinois’s. My father inquired about a dog that he wanted while he was out of town for a funeral. He read online that there was a $500 deposit and reached out to them. He didn’t have the money at the moment because he was just inquiring about information and nobody is going to have $2500 on the spot when just asking for information. After my husband and I discussed it, we decided to give them the money to buy it since he was out of town for a funeral which does cost unexpected money. I reached out to Natalia and she informed me that the deposit is invalid since she’s more than eight weeks. I told her we would see what we could do. The next morning we had the money for the dog. After my father contacted her again she came back and said it was a red flag that we didn’t have the money right on the spot and she would need to rethink if she wanted to sell her. We ourselves had to rethink for a moment as this sounded like a scam for money but we proceeded. My father told her of his intentions and wanting to give her a good home and to train her to be a service dog as he has diabetes. Remember Belgian Malinois are the #1 breed trained to be serviced dogs and police dogs. Other than providing a great home and unconditional love he explained to her that he makes six figures and money isn’t an issue when it came to taking care of her . She responded back saying that money is not what she’s worried about even though that is the reason she reconsidered selling her. Natalia said she wants to make sure she is going to a good home, which is very understandable but taking care of a dog requires not only love but money to care for the dog especially in case of emergencies (I would know I have 4 healthy and happy dogs). I don’t understand how somebody could judge someone else online on wether they can provide them love when they haven’t even met them. He even offered to send a recommendation from our family vet because he has trained my aggressive German Shepherd to be great with dogs and humans even after her aggressive past. Natalia said that she doesn’t need a recommendation and she will discuss it with her husband. They came back the next day and told us she wouldn’t be a fit for what we’re looking for
The app is really good about combining all the info new puppy owners need to determine if the breeders are reputable. I like how visually attractive it makes viewing the puppies. My boyfriend and I are looking into adopting a puppy for our family, so it makes me happy to have the process much easier for planning purposes.
