The Good Food Home Cooking Series has six annual, seasonally themed editions, each packed with 100 delicious recipes to keep you inspired the whole year round – from everyday supper solutions and healthy options to ideas for entertaining friends and family and easy baking recipes guaranteed to impress. All the recipes come from the Good Food kitchen and are triple tested.
Our issues feature themes including:
One-Pots: Designed to help save on the washing-up, including crowd-pleasing roasts, classic desserts and dishes made using energy-saving gadgets, like the air-fryer, slow cooker and microwave.
Seasonal Dishes: A range of recipes for seasonal occasions, including vegetarian and vegan options. Plus, ideas to get the kids involved in making fun and festive treats.
Healthy: We have tons of brilliant recipe features and nutritional advice to help you kick-start your healthy journey.
30 Minute Meals: Fast, fuss-free meals, to dishes inspired by global cuisines, you'll find everything you need to create satisfying meals in no time.
Subscriptions and Single Issues
Customers can buy single issues and subscriptions using In App Purchase
Subscriptions are available on monthly or annual terms.
• Your subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period
• You will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, for the same duration and at the current subscription rate for that product
• You can manage your subscriptions and turn off auto-renewal by going to your Account Settings after purchase
• No cancellation of the current subscription is allowed during active subscription period. This does not affect your statutory rights
• Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription
• The app may offer a free trial. At the end of the free trial period, the full price of the subscription will be charged thereafter. Cancellations must occur 24 hours before the end of the subscription period to avoid being charged. Visit http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4098 for more information.
The subscription will include the current issue if you do not already own it and subsequently published future issues. Payment will be charged to your iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase.

NOT WORKING
Avoid - the developer isn’t interested in fixing. Told me to send an email which I did and it too has been ignored for over a month- got an auto reply which said they were dealing with as many emails as they can, that’ll be right. Really not impressed with the BBC. Lost my magazines and didn’t even get to see the last one of my subscription, which is now cancelled. Given the app hasn’t been updated in 8 months I’m mightily unimpressed - didn’t stop them taking my money though.
Stopped working
App no longer opens. I cannot access my digital magazines. Best avoided until the developer fixes it.
Avoid this, it doesn’t work anymore
I spent a small fortune on online magazines but it stopped working with an IOS update. Really disappointed with BBC. Avoid the app.
App Crashing - when will it be updated?
If the BBC aren’t going to update this App, I’d like reimbursement for the magazines I’ve bought. I bought 2 magazines in September including the Christmas magazine and others previously and the App keeps crashing. I can see from the comments this has been a problem since October and nothing has been done and by the looks of things the comments are being ignored.
App no longer works
Since the last IOS update the app crashes when launched so all the issues I have paid for I can’t read - please fix the app!
Poointless App - avoid
- current mag not shown in list - already a print subscriber so why would I pay full price again for an additional digital version, especially when it arrives in the app days after print version? - love the magazine - this app lets it down

This is the worst thing ever I had to sign in and I didn’t even know they were mags I thought they were recipes just unbelievable

Brilliant app. Really good content, enjoy each issue
Really poor
On the app it says digital editions will appear at the same time or a few days after the print copy. The Homemade Christmas edition (clearly marked on the print copy as Home Cooking Series), has been out for ONE MONTH. And still no sign of the digital version. So pay your subscription to the digital version and never miss an issue isn’t really working. Sadly had to give it one star as zero was not an option. Exceptionally dissatisfied subscriber who won’t be renewing their subscription next time round.
