Gousto

Gousto have silently discontinued their 'safe & savour' range of recipes which offered 50p off per portion without communicating this change to customers via email or updating their FAQ's. I contacted a live chat agent at Gousto who confirmed that the range was being replaced with other recipes that offer "more choice and convenience". Because this change wasn't communicated to customers, I believe this is a stealth price increase, which follows other above inflation price increases and the introduction of delivery charges over the 4 years I have used the service. Whilst I have enjoyed using it, I am seriously considering switching to a competitor because the prices keep rising and are too expensive.

I have enjoyed using Gusto. One is able to select the single adult option.

It won’t accept my payment, won’t let me update my address a the customer services team are appealing to say the least. Goodbye gousto.

Good variety of meals to choose from

The meal delivery service is good but unfortunately they charge for orders even if you don’t make one. I got charged £55 today for an order I never placed. They automatically choose meals for you if you don’t place a order. This is great for forgetful people that don’t mind having meals picked for them, but there should be an option to turn this off. I have allergies and am allergic to some of the ingredients they sent. They were willing to give 25% back but for something I never ordered this is very poor. Atleast I’m saving 2.8k a year by unsubscribing :)

Love Gousto! Sadly the updated app crashes and after a few minutes so I can’t use it.

Title says it all. Food is great but completely unreliable service. 10pm for a delivery is simply unacceptable. A regular occurrence to be post 7pm. It’s just not good enough.

Honestly whoever hasn’t tried Gousto yet what are you waiting for? My husband and I are so spoiled by Gousto that eating out no longer hits the spot especially when you know you have a better and much cheaper option waiting for you at home. Not to mention that it’s fun to make and you become a better cook along the way!
