Beta at best
Feels more like a test app than finished. Poor interface at best. Canceled subscription after hopes that things would improve. No real help on best way to use. Templates ugly and annoying. Nice try if free but not ready for prime time.
Nein, Grain ist nicht kostenlos (es kostet 29.99), und es enthält auch In-App-Käufe.

This app is clean cut, straight forward and performs to my liking. However when I import my footage there are white (sometimes black) artifacts all over my footage. This is disappointing considering I planned to use this app to create personal LUTs to use in my videos.
dang. was really pumped for this because i love Moment lenses but this app really fell short of expectations. i think they need to do a better job of explaining why you would want this app, and then show its uses. great for exporting a custom LUT horrible for exporting the clip you spent so much time color grading
An app like this has so much potential to take over the game video-editing wise on devices like phones and tablets. Hiccups that were very disappointing are navigation, exporting process and final export. Based off my experience SO FAR the quality of projects are reduced tremendously from the original. If they develop a way to export in 4K or in the original resolution that would produce a much better experience. At the end of the day, I love Moment regardless.
The color grading is easy to use/understand but before getting to that part is annoying. The user interface for everything besides the color grading is pretty bad currently. In order to save your video you have to be IN the edit, you can’t save the video after you finish editing. Also there’s no option to save the video only, it turns those settings into a LUT, you’re able to use the LUT for the next project which isn’t a bad thing but I never intended to save it as a LUT. Also uploading a video isn’t as easy as it should be, navigating through this app is def annoying waiting on an update that changes the full UI. (iPhone 12 pro max)
Finally, great grain and vintage look program. I love moment even more now.
As a long time Moment customer, I’m pretty disappointed. I’m not going to invest in another subscription app that feels half baked / beta and not ready for prime time. I’d much rather purchase an app outright that’s ready for use, but the price being asked is just outrageously high. I love supporting the company but I can’t recommend this app, even as a professional colorist. Darkroom is far superior in most respects.
This app needs a complete overhaul.
Loaded this app up, exported some footage from LumaFusion to get a grade going and it worked very well with the exception of some notable annoyances. First, the app crashes a LOT when trying to get your own footage opened (2019 iPad Pro 12.9). When opening a lut you made to make further tweak it’ll consistently crash and close the app 3 times in a row and then you’re good to go (odd). My second issue is that the exported .cube luts need some finagling to work with LumaFusion. From LumaFusion: “This is usually caused by another app registering .cube or .3dl files using a different ‘uniform idendtifier’”. That one just seems like Moment should consider talking to other app creators out there who are the known industry leaders in video production for the ipad to ensure a better user experience for their customers. Maybe use the the same identifier that LumaFusion does, or make a checkable option before you save your lut for different app compatibility. Overall super cool and absolutely what I was missing in my workflow. LumaFusion color correction/grading is not to my taste coming from Premiere Pro. Could use a little tweaking in further updates.
Don’t event buy it not for the price but iOS or Android have better apps than give you more option to edit your photo or video. Look around at Apple or Android Store. When a app comes out as new wait like a month for other user review or the app has a lot of bugs.
