Fun game good for older people!
I’ve now read several reviews, a lot of the same. With playing Gin it’s all about the shuffle and dealing. I have played this app for about two months now and have moved up and up the levels. I have amounted up to 400,000 coins without paying a single cent. The problem with this app are the deals. It’s almost impossible playing gin to win after two pulls. Not impossible, but percentages are extremely high. This app it happens at least ten times a week, while working on reaching higher levels. I have two different iPhones and have this app installed on both, same instance's with shuffling and dealing on both phones. Hmmm … Very interesting Mr. Powers. This could be a GREAT APP, but as for all fun apps, good players are watched by wins and algorithms … I do like this app a lot and love playing mind games with all the players that I play, but I won’t pay the money this gin app asks you for… I’m sure that the response from the MIT app inventors will be the same as the ones I have read. Cheers!!
I really wanted to love this game, but as many others have said the game is manipulated. You’re set up to loose and buy chips to continue to play. 1 win is followed by 4 losses. Opponent knocks within the first few cards thrown. Very frustrating.
Edit: Wilst the developer response is likely just a lie, if we assume it to be true, then the problem with this game is it is riddled with exploits which allow dedicated players to manipulate the deck. Original: Literally every time my opponent has a real photo rather than an in-game graphic, meaning they opted for FB connect, I literally can’t win a single hand, let alone a game. And not only this, I lose the hands in less than a half dozen turns. Consistently. Whereas against anyone else, I win more than I lose & the hands take at least a dozen turns, as a game of gin actually should most of the time. Also, like so many card games, their random number generator is clearly not programmed correctly because the cards always come out in clumps - all the sixes, all the kings, whatever. This is an issue with pretty much all gin apps & other card apps for some reason.
This game is not worth the time. To believe it has a 4.9 star ⭐️ rating is just as incredible as we will land on the sun one day. It is not capable of playing without the house winning most of the time. Yes, I think you are playing against the house more often than not. They have the advantage of how much you can win and how often! In fact if you continue to play, it will become a habit that will make you spend real money 💰 that will dwindle as sure as the sun rises and sets. Interesting enough that they get a percentage of people that don’t believe or realize what is happening to them! So save yourself and your money 💵!
Been playing this game for years. I’m now convinced like others that this game is rigged. You don’t play against real players. You are playing against bots.
I love this app and hate it at the same time. It’s truly Las Vegas. First they reduced payouts and reduced free chips. Second, the app purposely makes you lose. I recently tracked my gaming after buying $40 worth of gems/chips. I am a good gin player and in real life, I usually win. On this app, the house stacks it against you, especially if you buy chips. They want you to lose to buy more. In 20 consecutive rounds, I wasn’t given one single meld. Meanwhile, my opponents went down with gin after one or two cards selected. This is intentional to make me lose. If i don’t play for a few days, the game gives me a win, followed by 3-4 losses. My winning percentage says 51%, but that is inaccurate. They set you up to win one, lose 4 or more. If you bet a lot of chips, you’re doomed to lose them. If this app doesn’t improve soon, I’m deleting it for good and looking for another. Make it fair please! I have sat next to my son playing with him and seeing his hands and it’s laughable. He never plays and isn’t a good gin player and his hands are guaranteed to give him a big gin or wipe me out immediately. I mean every single card he draws does into his hand. This isn’t luck. It’s computer generated intentional winning to make a loyal player lose.
As everyone is saying, unless you buy chips you lose. The algorithm is not random. As soon as I buy chips, I start winning. Otherwise, my opponent is able to knock in just a couple of hands. It’s aggravating and I plan to delete this app. Also, you can report the app…
It’s designed to force you to pay. Get a paid opponent, you’re losing. Simple. Update: still the same thing. Nothing has changed. Worthless app.
