Grim Tides tries to blend tabletop RPG vibes, familiar dungeon crawling and roguelike mechanics, and a classic turn-based combat system into an accessible and entertaining package. Because of its attention to written storytelling, detailed worldbuilding and abundance of lore, Grim Tides can be similar to a solo Dungeons and Dragons campaign, or even a choose your own adventure book.
Grim Tides is a single player game and can be played offline. It has no lootboxes, energy bars, overpriced cosmetics, content locked behind endless microtransactions, or other modern monetization schemes. Just some unobtrusive ads, permanently removable with a one-time purchase, and completely optional goodies for those who wish to support the game and its development even further.

AWESOME! FANTASTIC! I LOVE LIFE AGAIN!

I’ve just discovered that I don’t believe in warning signs and I ignore common sense and die- (just in the game. thank heck) and instead of giving myself a character with a better beginner advantage… I chose the lab rat and I don’t know why I doubt every red flag I cross my way. I just-! Like what if the warnings are a trick so I can’t get the goodies?? But omg it’s not? I guess there’s no reward for being stupid lmao. Also, I used to default to being full blown good guy in game but now I keep thinking of robbing graves because “WHAT IF I MIGHT SOMETHING USEFUL OR WHAT IF I FIND A POWERFUL WEAPON?” Didn’t stop to consider that they might’ve died cause their belongings didn’t help them for heck. OKAY OKAY I RAMBLE BUT I REALLY REALLY LOVE THIS GAME.

Just purchased the full game!

One of the best compact games I've played, good thing it still works even on old mobile devices such as mine. I just have a question, will there be issues with my IAP in the future if I switch my device? Thank you for this game and I hope you can respond to my concern. Kudos to the team!

Pay wall

I loved this game but now when I try to re play it it wants me to pay to unlock the full game. I’m sad I can’t play one of my favorite rpg mobile games anymore

Do not support this dev

If you read through all of the responses that this dev gives to critique, none of it is them actually taking critique. They tell the person they’re wrong and do so in an extremely childish and immature way. Buddy if you’re going to be developing games, maybe learn to take Criticism. If you think I’m kidding, go read through how this developer respond to individuals with critique. It’s petulant, unprofessional, and entitled. Until this dev learns some humility, do not support

Good job on a very fun game

This game is extremely fun and easy to play. I usually don’t write reviews but because you can really tell the desire to share a fun game the developer put into this, I had to do him a solid. The story so far has kept me entertained.

This game looked very good in the store but I downloaded it and it was not as I was expecting. The dungeon crawler aspect was the part I was most excited for but there was almost no strategy to it and it got very boring. After a few dungeons it got very repetitive and boring, but the idea was good.

fun, use of ai art though

pretty much exactly as advertised just a warning though— all of the background art is very obviously ai generated. as an artist, it’s kind of difficult for me to support using ai instead of commissioning an artist. cheers.
