Charades Master - Party Game

WAS a really great app for several years. Loved the built-in icebreakers, some of the tools like the scoreboard and random name picker, and having free access to over 500 games for use in student or kids ministry. New games weren’t added all that often, but really appreciated that they offered the app and web versions as free resources to churches and youth leaders/volunteers. Unfortunately, without any email announcement or notification, now when you open the app, it is unusable and says Grow Games has “moved” to their marketplace, and when you go there, without a subscription to their curriculum, all the games are around $10/each which is even more expensive than similar games you could find with similar organizations (such as YM360 or DYM). And the tools and icebreakers from the app are gone too. Really disappointed with this move.

There’s no option to create a profile on the app

The games are great and are definitely helpful, and I love the category listings for the games, such as “no tech” and “all play.” My favorite part of the app is the tools section! The scoreboard, finger chooser, stopwatch, random wheel, etc are all so helpful. Makes it quick and easy to set up for our pre-service game time each week.

I started using this app for quick games. This has been a huge blessing in helping me come up with a game real quick. I would recommend this for anyone, especially because it’s FREE!!!

I’ve just downloaded the app and have already found several games that will work for our small youth group. Directions for games are clear and easy to understand. There’s an icebreaker section that I love. So simple and easy to use.

As a new youth pastor and a former youth group student, fun games quickly become repetitive and boring when played often. I didn’t realize how challenging it could be to find new and unique games for my students each week. This app is an incredible resource with games that fit any youth group size and style. I can’t wait to continue to try out new games each week, and I’m sure my students will be very grateful that we won’t be playing the same old redundant games anymore!
