Gun World magazine is one of the oldest and respected names in guns and ammunition journalism. And the digital magazine app brings you all the new and exciting information from the world of weapons and firearms in an easy format. Loaded with reviews of the best guns--including handguns and rifles--and shooting tips, tactics, hunting advice, personal defense, women’s self-defense, the Gun World app arms you with knowledge. It is also the perfect buyer’s guide for the latest gun products.
The app delivers full-spectrum firearms content that caters to a broad range of gun enthusiasts. Topics covered regularly include firearms and related gear for hunting, handloading, target and other recreational shooting and personal defense. The concerns and needs of reloading and gunsmithing enthusiasts are addressed in special columns each month. More specialized aspects of the shooting sports such as muzzleloading and replica firearms, cowboy action shooting, competition firearms, optics and more are often covered as well.

This is a free app download. Within the app users can purchase the current issue and back issues.
Subscriptions are also available within the application. A subscription will start from the latest regular issue at the time of purchase.
-The subscription will renew automatically unless cancelled more than 24 hours before the end of the current period. You will be charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period, for the same duration and at the current subscription rate for the product.
-You may turn off the auto-renewal of subscriptions through your Account Settings, however you are not able to cancel the current subscription during its active period.
-Payment will be charged to your iTunes account at confirmation of purchase and any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when a subscription to that publication is purchased.
-If a subscription offers a free trial, at the end of the trial period, you will be charged the full price of the subscription. You may cancel a subscription during its free trial period via the subscription settings on your iTunes account. This must be done 24 hours before the end of the subscription period to avoid being charged.
Users can register for/ login to a pocketmags account in-app. This will protect their issues in the case of a lost device and allow browsing of purchases on multiple platforms. Existing pocketmags users can retrieve their purchases by logging into their account.
We recommend loading the app for the first time in a wi-fi area so that all issue data is retrieved.
If your app will not load past the splash page after a first install or an update, please delete and reinstall the app from the App Store

Magazine format
The magazine and articles are great but the new format is horrible. It also is not letting me download the new issue even though it was available on my iPhone 3 days ago.
Great magazine, BUT
Love the magazine and would recommend to anyone that loves guns. However, the new app interface is awful. The way you view the magazine is horrible. Please FIX.
Bad Load
This app keeps cutting out. I have delete it and reinstall for it to work each time I want to read my magazine! Fix it please or refund me my money!
Don't bother
Unfortunately it's Pocket Mags. Good luck actually being able to download or ready anything you buy. Simply awful. I will not waste anymore money on any magazine accessed through Pocket Mags
Gun World
This is a very good publication. Each month it covers a good variety of subject matter from reloading, concealed carry and new firearms. There are a lot of ads but that is typical of any magazine, printed or digital. At least these ads are on subject matter that I like.

Content
With the switch to digital you would expect there to be more interactive content. I hope in the future they can start incorporating more interactive content.
Don't waste your money unless you enjoy wasting your time
Any mag subscription that says pocketmags on the screen when you are downloading is awful. Other mags appear instantly and download faster than you can read. These take as many as five minutes to download a SINGLE page. Don't waste your money unless you enjoy wasting your time.
Caution
I subscribe to the magazine in print; be advised that purchasing print does NOT include digital.
