GuruShots: Photography Game

2 days have passed and im still struggling a bit to figure out what is what. But overall this app is cute and motivates me to take more pictures. I would love a personalised page where you can just look at other’s pictures and cultivate inspiration from their pictures. I would also like to ask for advice from photographers I follow. Im looking forward to where this app is heading

Great app. Can the developers also make it be able to go into landscape mode on iPads as well.

After spending a lot of time, money and energy, my account was deleted. Reason : copyright infringement. Which means I uploaded other people photographs on my profile! This is completely unacceptable and I agree it’s a terrible offense! But how does GuruShots prove that this is being done? Do you review this? Or is it up to the other players who you competing against to report you? GuruShots has to have a warning of some sorts, or even make the “alleged photo” red for everyone to see! Be transparent about the violation, don’t take all my money and not show me which photo is copyrighted! I use my phone for this app and upload the image from my email (after editing, off my Facebook account or off my camera on my phone) just because it doesn’t show the name and settings of the photograph, doesn’t mean it’s not mine! GuruShots is fun, it’s great to share your photo with the world, the app is great to use BUT the copyright issue is a massive problem! Be very careful everyone if you are good and start getting somewhere, your whole profile can be deleted without any explanation or proof! Very unhappy!!

I’ve been on and off Gurushots for a couple of years. I have seen many changes in this time. For about 8 months now I have been playing pretty seriously. I’ve taken part in some exhibitions, joined a team, and achieved some of the goals. In the last 4 or 5 months the changes have been dramatic and often complicated, messy, and downright crazy. Teams have been the best part of the last 8 months. Getting to know people who share your passion. Do the developers really understand what happens when these changes are made? Are they aware of what the teams go through? Many of the higher league teams plan, strategise and try work the system to win - which is great, it means teams work together. But somehow the last 4 or 5 months every change has forced the teams to regroup. New strategies, new plans. Then things just start going well, and boom, more changes. 2 photo challenges are only there to force you to buy keys - the most expensive item in the store. Guess what Gurushots - not everyone has the finances to spend spend spend. There’s a pandemic going on, people are losing jobs, livelihoods, and all you care about is lining your pockets. Worst is that there is NO communication about what changes are being made, or in response to queries. Suddenly you can’t post a negative comment on their official Facebook page. It never gets approved. Gurushots I suggest you have a look at exactly what you want. Don’t advertise a free game and then make it so you end up having to buy tools just to get somewhere. I know I’m not the only one who feels like this.

Why isn't there an in-app reminder that I can set per challenge to fill my meter? I miss 90% of my challenges when I'm busy. Yet I don't miss a notification that any challenge has ended. The phone alarm is not synced across my devices.

I love this app. Made me fall in love with photography all over again. The one Thing that annoys me with the new update is I can’t see the challenge names on the challenge screen. Only if i go into the open or closed or coming soon pages can I see the names and it’s frustrating because I would love to join some challenges but I tend to miss them because the names don’t display anymore. So three stars just for that

I joined at the beginning of July and have loved this App. Brought back my passion for photography. Got to meet some people around the world and see the world through photography. Would recommend it to everyone who loves photos!!!!

Guru shots is a great app. Would like them to verify their policy on copyright. Would be a pity if I progressed very far and then had my account deleted.

Super interesting and awesome app for people who are venturing or are already into photography as a career and a hobby. Very inspiring.
