Downloaded this app to use with a GEARWRENCH Professional Bi-Directional Diagnostic Scan Tool. It doesn’t work at all. I tried the tool on two different vehicles, with both an iPad and iPhone and neither device could establish a connection to the tool. All of the reviews on Home Depot’s website, where I bought this, are paid reviews. Totally bogus. Returning tomorrow for a full refund. 0 stars.

I’m a master tech for a shop, and I bought this as a “quick” way to diagnose vehicles or simply do a quick full scan on a vehicle. It’s much faster than having to drag out an autel or a launch scan tool. So far it’s been able to do at least 98% of what an autel scanner can do, of course improvements can be made but this is a $150 Bluetooth scan tool for your phone! It’s an absolute bargain for what this unit can do! Would definitely purchase another one of these, they are fantastic.

Cannot sing this things praises high enough. My boss just shelled out $6,000 for the yearly subscriptions on all our altels. And I’m sure there’s something they can do that this one can’t, but I’ve yet to find it. No monthly charge for updates for first 3 years, then $150 a year. That’s dirt cheap for a scanner that can do the things it can. I get a little trouble from the testing portion, IE brake bleed, things of that nature. But i can usually back out, go back in and it’ll work for me. Well worth the cost, and can’t recommend this thing highly enough. You won’t be disappointed.

Clearly the positive reviews on this are from the makers, or affiliates. I’ve been on the phone with tech support all day and they have no idea how to get this to work. Complete garbage. Will be returning.
