Beschreibung

Create good habits. Break bad ones. Build a better you. Habit List includes everything you need to reach your goals, wrapped in a beautiful and intuitive interface. It motivates you, helps you stay focused, and keeps you on track.
Get motivated with streaks — Keeping streaks alive is a powerful motivator. See how high you can go, then try to beat your personal best. Red badges mean you've slacked and need to get back on track. Yellow badges show up after a streak ends, indicating it's time to recommit to building a new one. Gray badges are optional, missing them won’t break your streak. Green means go, complete it today!
Focus on what’s due — No need to wade through all your habits to figure out what to do, Habit List only shows what’s due today. And you can set the default order for your habits, so items that you’ll complete first are at the top of your list. Habit List's beautiful, distraction-free design keeps you focused and on task.
Stay on track with reminders and badges — Habits are powerful because they’re automatic, but while you’re building routines, reminders are indispensable. App badges show the number of remaining habits for the day, great for reminding you to complete your list. You can even set a daily review reminder to get in the habit of using the app.
View trends over time — Step back and see the big picture with weekly and monthly completion percentages. Bar colors range from green to red and give a visual indicator of how you’re doing.
Flexible scheduling — Choose from 3 kinds of schedules: Specific Days, Non-specific Days, or Intervals. So you can schedule your workouts M-W-F, bring lunch to work any 4 days per week, or write a blog post every 2-3 days. No matter what kind of habit you're building, Habit List has you covered.
Track your progress — See your history at a glance and gain insight into what's working—or isn't. Always miss your Friday workout? Maybe a different day or early morning routine would work better. Habit List also tracks your personal best (longest streak) and total completions.
No detail too small — Need to track multiple times per day habits, like drinking 8 glasses of water? No problem. Going on vacation? Skip habits without breaking your streak. Miss a habit early in the day? Mark it as missed to keep your list uncluttered. You can also change the week start date, use light or dark mode, and keep things private with a passcode or touch ID. Speaking of privacy, we don’t require you to set up an account, don’t track your habits, and your personal data is 100% private.
Try Habit List for free — Your first three habits are on us. Upgrade to Premium for unlimited habits, passcode/touch ID lock, dark mode, and support future development.

Getting worse

The migration to the new version cost me my entire habit history. The dev was kind enough to let some people migrate backwards, but eventually the TestFlight version expired. Now the app can’t really keep track of anything. Everyday habits don’t show up, while ‘every 3 days’ habits are marked red if you don’t tick them every single day. It’s all a mess. I’ve no idea anymore what I should be doing each day. It’s a pity because I don’t want any of the subscription-based bloated apps. But Habitlist is really not cutting it anymore.

It’s got potential.

Phew, habit tracking. Apps to do that are a dime a dozen — except some are actually quite expensive. I dropped Habitify after they lost my data in an account sync mess up. Habitify was stupidly expensive for what it does, and it committed the cardinal sin of losing my stuff. Now, I don’t mind paying for software, but I think the price has to be fair. For example, at ~70€/year, WebStorm is “cheap” because I get tremendous value from it. At 55€ per version, Things was well priced because I’ve used it everyday for 3 years. It’s my brain dump and deserves the price. This app is well priced. It’s a one-off, I wouldn’t mind paying for a newer version (the Reeder model). Sadly, it doesn’t look like the people behind it care that much. I’ve sent them a couple of emails that didn’t get answered, and one was requesting a feature that’s so obvious I can’t believe it’s missing: repeat a habit every N days. There are repetition ranges in the app, but if you use them, these habits don’t show up as green/red to mark a streak. They don’t count towards the things you have to do that day. For example: I take vitamin D everyday. It shows up everyday, and I have to tick it off, otherwise the streak count will drop by 1. Great! But I take B12 once every 4 days. That range is not in the app, so I picked their 3–5 days range. Sadly that means it’s not a mandatory habit, so it’s always gray, and shows up too early (on the 3rd day). If I forget to take it, it goes away until the next range, meaning I often go for many weeks forgetting about it. I really wish the above was taken care of. I don’t want to pay 40€/year for a habit tracking app because it’s essentially a glorified Things/Todoist with a calendar tracker. Heck, Little Snitch is cheaper than most habit tracking apps! Sadly this one really needs to get some polish and the must-have feature of repeating every N (custom) days. I think I’m dropping it for now, but if you’re not that strict about your tracking, it’s good, and gets the job done for a fairer price than most.

I've tried 3 or 4 - this is the best one. Beautiful, easily customisable, simple to use, and motivating.

Best habit tracker out there

I use this app all the time, from the moment I get up to the moment I go to sleep. It obviously all depends on what your organisational system looks like but if you are looking for an easy to use, well designed, beautifull habit tracking app, you have just found it!

Needs an Update

I am a long time user of this app but the most recent update has some annoying typos. Would appreciate it if these could be fixed. Even after several months the developers still haven’t released an update to fix the typos!

Great! Some small improvements opportunities

Been using this app for years and I love it! Only minor complaint is that I wish I could: - archive habit instead of having to delete them - skip a habit for X days to preempt a vacation or something. Also in the most recent version, my habits that are every X days is showing green when it should be gray and vice-versa. (e.g every 5-7 days, it shows green on day 4 and gray on day 6.) Overall it’s a stellar app and well worth the premium fee. Also really appreciate it’s not a subscription! Thanks for a great experience. 💜

After inputting all my habits and using the app for a few months the app starts crashing on opening. I lost all my data and habit lists. I emailed the developer 3 times with no response.

Worked great until April 2024

I use this for five years and it was great. it was cool to see so many years worth of my habit compliance rates. With the April 2024 software update it started crashing for me as soon as I open it. I emailed support but did not receive a reply. I would definitely use this app again if they can stop it from crashing.

I love this app but need updating

I’ve been using this app for years and to be honest it’s the only one that I still think is simple and straightforward, but it’s really showing it’s age and needs needs an update.
