This app is amazing but not satisfying enough for it to become something i use often, it should be addictive like every other game except actually useful. I think this could be way better for example, make it so that each task can get custom resources and then you have to craft them into stuff by doing more tasks which would be way more motivating. Also lack of calendar
New user here and I've been loving the app so far!! Would be great if we could check off items from the checklist like how we can do it on web version too. Thank you!!
Can’t tell that a day has passed if you haven’t opened the app. Takes 1 min to connect to the server, register that it is a new day and reset the dailies while you’re just sitting there waiting. Doesn’t reset the day at the time specified.
This used to be a fun little app with challenges to improve yourself and earn fun digital pets. But the app hasn’t been improved in forever and the usability has really crashed. The staff also went on some weird totalitarian rampage kicking people off the platform for asking questions about improvements. I’m so glad I deleted it because I’ve found a better gamified task app that actually works and is updated regularly.
The idea of gamifying my every day tasks was exciting to me, I felt like I was the perfect target user for Habitica. Unfortunately the hype died down after using it daily for 7 months. The app is really buggy, some issues preventing me from using some of the most important features. I sent bug reports myself but nothing has improved so far. There are also sync issues with both mobile and web. I heard from other long time users that there haven’t been many substantial improvements in all the years they’ve subscribed to Habitica, so I’m not expecting them to fix these issues any time soon. I also recently learned of the volunteer mods mistreatment from the Habitica staff, and it wasn’t a good thing to hear. It does what it does, but unless the gamification is a big part of what you want, there are better todo apps out there.
I’ve been using the Wear OS version of Habitica, I would LOVE it if you working on a Watch OS version! Please tell me that you are…🤞🏻
I used to be able to swipe down the ‘Welcome Back! Check off any Dailies you did yesterday’ pop-up interface, but I can’t do that anymore after a recent update. Please change it back! I want to also check off Habits, use mana points on spells, and consume health potions, but I can’t swipe down the pop-up interface anymore to get to those things without starting the next day. I usually only check off all my Dailies and Habits in the app right before I sleep at like 2am.
Love this app on pc, proud to subscribe for 2 years now as i find this app a life saver, but not as good on phone and apple
If your someone who likes to be bullied and belittled by moderators I would 100% get this app. Belittling someone for posting something positive is disgusting and this app did just that. Sure the interface is good and it helps with building habits and keeping yourself on track but if you have any form of mental health I WOULD NOT download or use this app.
