Just passed my technician with the help of Ham Radio Prep. Great instruction tutorials that keep you interested and not falling asleep. You can actually learn things on this site. The practice tests are spot on. This is second to none. Thanks Ham Radio Prep.
After purchasing the study material online, I also downloaded the app. After completing a couple of the online study modules, I later went to the app to continue only to find my progress at 0%. After contacting HRP I quickly received a note explaining why the app and web site don’t synch. I was informed that the practice exams synch, but the lessons and quizzes do not. I was told, “The reason is because our mobile app uses our new custom technology with a separate database from the website.” This isn’t a deal-breaker, but it sure seems like a giant leap into ‘90s technology.
Just passes my Technician exam with a 97% thanks to Ham Radio Rep!! Studying for the General now.
This app is an incredibly helpful way to learn the basics of Ham radio and understand all of the key terms necessary for passing the Technician exam on your first try. After reviewing each section and doing the practice quizzes, I took my first sample test through the app and passed. I then studied the sections of the exam that the app determined were harder for me, and then I felt comfortable to take the actual exam. Taking the actual test was a breeze and I finished in less than 10 minutes and scored very highly. I am now using the app to prep for my General exam in a week or two.
The app seems to work well and if the videos make sense but it is not clear that you only get 3 lessons for free and then out of nowhere makes you pay
I used this app and studied it for 2 weeks, took my technicians exam online and passed with a 30/35! Definitely recommend to people who are looking to pass there exam in a short amount of time

Used this app for all three tests and if you read and review each section and take the practice test until it tells you that you are ready, you should have no problems at all! This is a great asset!
I had tried reading only, and struggled a bit because it seemed a bit too tech for me. But then I watched the videos, read along with the lessons and in a few days of spare time I got 33/35 right! Now on to my general test! I love this and I’m hooked!!!
