The Original Hanalei River Gauge App! Our app allows anyone to quickly check the USGS river gauge height during heavy rains on Kaua'i. We also provide quick access to Hanalei Initiative's road camera so you can see if the road is open to traffic.
Exciting new features coming soon:
1) Push notifications when the river is on the rise.
2) River gauge data for all Kaua'i rivers.

Easiest way to check the river gauge, so helpful.
Hanalei River Gauge
Seems to kick off-line during weather events. We are in a Flash Flood Warning right now and the app has not updated for 1 1/2 hours. Not reliable 😩
App displays wrong gauge?
The app displays USGS gauge 16103000, which is somewhat upstream from the Hanalei bridge. If the intention is to monitor conditions at the bridge, that gauge is 16104200. This app is a good beginning, but it would be far more useful if it also displayed data from other sources, such as HDOT road closure notices, NOAA flood warnings, etc.
