HanDBase for iPad

After finding a number of database update bugs in the app, I went to the support site to report them. After trying numerous times to submit the report form and being rejected, I gave up! It makes you think the developers aren't really interested! I'm now looking for another app!

Im used to working with real relational databases application like Microsoft Access, SQL Server and MySQL. This database manager is nothing short of disappointing. The interface is clumsy, cannot establish relationships between databases, there are no tables and it is difficult to navigate. A spreadsheet application like Numbers serves the purpose of storing data better than this application. Still looking for a true relational database for my IPad 3.

Works perfectly for me on iPad 2. Ideal app for my job, which involves plenty of onsite data capture.

Waste of time just keeps crashing

This app is really good. The new forms feature works well. HanDBase would be a valuable purchase for anyone wanting to learn how to create a database. The app has great potential in the education industry.

Best App I have seen or tried. It seems almost limited only to how much time and imagination as to what databases you can create and how you can interconnect them. I am developing my own business app with this and can't believe how much it has exceeded my expectations. Can't wait for forms to add that final polish.

It's hard to fault this app for what it is and considering the competition. Expecting a fully fledged Database on the iPad seems a little unrealistic at this stage. This program is essentially a very nicely presented spreadsheet with the added bonus that you can create and reuse pop up lists of items for entry in a particular field. This makes this appextremely useful if you don't want to go through the normal filling in of the same information multiple times. Unfortunately though, you can't do many of the things I would like to be able to achieve with a proper functioning Database app.

I've used this product for years and like it, but it has some challenges, especially on the iPad mini. The newest update broke my most important form with some sort of dimension change. The title bar is very hard to read in light mode with blue on dark gray. Had to restore my iPad to go back to the prior version.

There is no way to save on newer iPad. Worked just fine on my old one.

I’ve been a HanDBase user in the past and recently had a need for a database on my iPad. So I went back to HanDBase, paid the fee, downloaded the app and got to work. Having entered a small but significant amount of data, I decided to test out how HanDBase could be used to back up this data and thus protect me from future data loss. Unfortunately, the Desktop Connect feature that I used to use on the HanDBase version on my iPhone doesn’t seem to work on the iPad version of the app. I went to ddhsoftware’s support site but couldn’t find help there. I also noted that the support site seems quite outdated (meaning the content, not the form). This leads me to ask the following question: Is HanDBase for iPad being actively supported?
