Harvest: Track Time & Invoice

Ich bin seit Jahren Kunde bei Harvest und es tut genau was es soll. Ich kann es nur jedem Freelancer oder KMU mit Projektgeschäft empfehlen. Die neue App du funktioniert leider nicht zuverlässig. Sie ist langsam, zeigt manchmal falsche Informationen an und die Bedienung ist umständlich. Aber es gibt eine Losung: einfach die Web-App in Safari öffnen, „zum Home Bildschirm hinzufügen“ drücken und benutzen. Das funktioniert zuverlässig.

Man muss sagen es ist gerade für DE und AT einfach der Konkurrenz überlegen. Es ist wesentlich einfacher, intuitiver und kann halt eigentlich auch alles was man als Freelancer braucht. Vielleicht nicht so “stylisch” aber definitiv tool der Wahl.

I am a non-profit and self-employed professional who has tested out a wide variety of tracking apps and was THRILLED with Harvest! Robust, easy to use, affordable.

As a contractor the last thing I want to do is go to some website and waste time logging in. With Harvest, it only takes seconds to log time. Creating and sending invoices is also quick and easy. Clients paying the invoice is simple and get direct deposited quickly.

Desktop + Browser: do everything you need them to simply and elegantly. Totally recommend. Mobile: drives me bananas. Time zones continually get confused, over-calculate, send notifications I forgot a timer when I’m 30 min in but send nothing when it’s legitimately been 6 hours. Still love the platform overall, just wish the mobile app while traveling wasn’t a mess.

A while back they redid the app and made it cache and display old timers. I’m often staring and stopping timers from multiple clients. Sometimes a timer shows an old value before the new one is fetched - then if you start the timer you loose data. Should either be an error or disallowed until sync. This app is one of the use cases for investing in good sync tech and they still haven’t.

I own a company that invoices for hours at contracted rates at a project due on each DoS. Upon downloading this app looked promising. I can track hours easily and view employees billable hours, but I can’t add rate for hours on each project. Okay, maybe I can add on invoicing steps. No way to invoice. Or if there is it’s hidden. Since my business requires mobile access and quick invoicing this app is not appropriate for my business needs.

We have been using this SASS for a very long time. It just keeps getting better and better.
