I’m using this manager for years now and this is “the pictures manager”. One thing is missing, and waiting for this feature from the beginning, is to be able to “sort” “My Albums” automatically. I lose time every time searching the right album when I want to classify some pictures.
Hash Photos is beyond AWESOME❗️❗️❗️ I SERIOUSLY LOVE IT❗️❗️❗️
Used to be able to stay at certain section of an album after restarting the app Used to not slowing down / lagging after 10 mins of sorting photos Also photos never turned black after zooming in on them, which they do now sometimes.. Bring these nice things back?
An extremely well designed photo management and editing app that is intuitive to use and packed with essential tools but not bloated out with gimmicks and bad code like so many App Store offerings. And you only pay once, no subscription where you endlessly rent rather than own the app. I use Hash Photos as my daily driver and only touch the stock Photos app when I absolutely have to (mostly to permanently delete items in the trash). The developer of this app has designed a near perfect piece of software that has no peers, especially in this era of dumbing everything down and removing user control and functionality in the name of “convenience” and “ease of use.” Thank you for such a great product and your dedication to your craft 🙏 😊 5/5
For a number of years I’ve used the slideshow option for my saved pictures to view while listening to my tunes, and now I find that said option is no longer available on this app. I would very much like to know why that is and if they’ll bring that option back to HashPhotos. I will also change my rating once/if they do this. Edit: it was eventually added again, but now with the recent update it’s gone once more. Unbelievable.
Works great, looks good and lets you keep public photos public and private photos private.
This is a pretty amazing photo editor with one fatal flaw: all the work you’ve put into organizing your photos is locked into hash photos on your iPhone - there’s no reasonable way to get that data into another piece of software like Lightroom for example, or when you need to remove some photos or videos from your phone to clear up space (sure you can back up your photos via iCloud, but none of the keywords will go with them). So as much as I love this app, having my organization work locked into HashPhotos kills it for me. If the developer manages to open up the data in some way so that the tags and notes can be used outside of HashPhotos, I’ll come back to it instantly, but I’ve spoken with them via email multiple times and unfortunately that doesn’t seem to be happening 🙁
I have a large database of pictures that need to be tagged with keywords. When I tag them on this app, the changes do not appear on MacOS Photos app. It also doesn't work the other way around: The keywords I have defined on MacOS Photos aren't in the app. Other ExIF tags such as titles seem to be synced just fine. The problem is specifically with the "keyword" tags. It would be nice if this is added to the app as well. Managing keywords and filtering albums based on them is one of the main functionalities I am looking for, but it's all useless if it doesn't carry over to my photo database on Mac.
Has smart album with “not in album” folder which is something I have been trying to find for years! It lets me see which photos in my iOS album I have not yet categorized into albums.
