A complete end-to-end solution, HerdBoss tracks everything about your animals in a simple and intuitive way that will help you and your entire team save time and money, and increase accuracy and completeness of your tracking.
- Keeps track of all the details about each of your animals, including name, registration number, sex, DNA, and dozens of other pieces of information
- Track multiple species in one account
- Organize your animals into multiple groups
- Scan EID/RFID tags to easily access your animal records
- Tracks the breeders that you buy animals from
- Tracks the buyers that you sell animals to
- Keeps all of the weights of your animals over time
- Lets you know which animals have had what shots, and when
- Helps you track when your animals have mated, and with whom
- Lets you know when you should expect new offspring to be born, and who the expectant dams are
- Displays the full lineage for any animal in your herd, including Dams-and-Sires or just Sires based on your preference
- Generates a simple one-page or two-page report that contains all of the information about any animal in your herd which makes it easy to tell buyers all about the animal
- Produce more than 20 reports about your herd, including the offspring that have been born, the production of your sires, the births which are expected soon, weight gain, medical treatments, and income produced by Sires and Dams!
- Bulk Actions available that make large updates easy
All of this information is tied to your HerdBoss account, and is kept in-sync across all of your iPhones and iPads. Now you can have workers in the field entering medicine shot information or tracking mating information while you enter notes about the same animals, and have all of the data saved and shared for your whole team to see.
You can use HerdBoss without a 5G or WiFi connection! If you don't have signal out in the field, no problem! You can still enter in all of your information and when you get back into 5G or WiFi, HerdBoss will sync all of the new information with the cloud.

Worth the time and money
I’ve used a few different software programs over the years and always ended up being disappointed in some way. I’m yet to be disappointed with this program. It does every single thing I need it, want it and expect it too, and I haven’t even used all of its resources yet. The cost is … well, I’m not even sure what the cost is … $6 a month or something like that? I don’t even pay attention to the cost. It’s worth it.
Totally worth it!!!
I have been using since beta test version. Have my nearly 100 sheep in it. Especially like that I can keep records on sheep I don’t own, separate from my own flock, as I often give help to buyers with sheep they bought from me. Haven’t started loading photos yet. Hoping to see reviews of that... is it worth the up charge?
Extremely helpful
I have a small flock of sheep and this app has really helped me stay organized with my worming and medication schedules. I can now easily track medications to make better breeding decisions. Like others have said, I wish there was a way to add pictures; also, maybe a way to track Famacha scores. I’d happily pay for any upgrades-it is that good of an app :)
The best app for livestock! I love it.
The developer did a wonderful job creating this App. I also wish we could add photos of the animals, and also when doing bulk treatments that we could select “all sheep” instead of clicking one by one. But besides that, it is ideal! I have been trying to find one like this for cattle and so far haven’t found anything comparable.

I absolutely love this app. For one, it is free!! The second thing I love is the reports that you are able to print. It is very easy to use.

Have used this app for a few days to manage our medium size flock. Saves us so much time and head ache. Still learning how to work a lot of features. Easy to learn and use. I'd pay lot of $$ for this. Free is a steal! Highly recommended
