Hertz 24/7® Mobility

I have used Hertz 24/7 every time I needed to move something or made a furniture purchase. They went through a change in their model where they take 5 pounds a year for a subscription which doesn’t count towards the credit. The app now is much worse in every step of the way? Doesn’t work with VPN (I accept that) but it doesn’t even warn you about that, and instead it breaks in a weird way. The button to register just says “Button” for example… Registering the info is also problematic and unintuitive. In the end I am using another service here in the UK to rent vans and cars by the hour. Which have all the miles included and the membership fee is only one and counts towards the hire as credit. No brainer.

I have booked the van to pick up from B&Q in Glasgow which I was there and it was no sing of van any where tried to call the number provided by ap no answer after 22 minutes it is a scam they tell you that the costs is £46 and take £84 for something which is not even there to use

I have downloaded and re-downloaded this app several times and it hasn’t yet allowed me to log in, let alone to rent any vehicles. It’s a headache and I’m not interested in trying any more - will go back to Enterprise and rent from them instead.

Having used Hertz24/7 for a few years now, this app is a huge downgrade from a user perspective. The new image requirements when collecting and returning a vehicle are borderline unsafe considering where the vans are usually parked - I had to stand in the middle of the road in a busy car park to capture the requested angles in full, only to find that the app then needed a further validation process (a bizarre AI driven check which involved me winking into the camera to prove my ID!?) before it’d give me the virtual key to access the van. I eventually got on my way, and having loaded the van at home got back in to find that the app couldn’t connect to the vehicle. This meant I was unable to start the van (or do anything frankly, including locking/unlocking). Eventually after a number of refresh attempts, it caught up and let me start only to do the same thing again next time I stopped. I’ve always loved this service, and been happy to pay a premium for the convenience. After today, sadly I won’t be renewing my subscription and will move to more traditional van hire. If you plan to use the service, allow plenty of time for setup and validation before you can get on your way!

Utterly shocking app. Can’t validate OTP as just gets stuck in a doom loop of failed to validate ‘no internet signal’ despite having plenty, and error asking to restart. Hard close does nothing. Why move off the previous 24/7 app which worked fine?

Dear Hertz, you need to test this app more, still not intuitive and most importantly not actually completing a booking, even after Credit Card payment is authorised. No email confirmation, no text confirmation…no van….nothing….deleted app.

Not sure why they’ve changed to this ‘new’ one, it’s awful to use

Seems all simple at first but then doesn’t work!!!!! And it’s taken £64 out of my bank when It should be £17 something… I can’t even log In since booking it and I haven’t even managed to use. 🤬🤬🤬🤬

Used Hertz 24/7 multiple times previously. Great app, great idea, great pricing. All in all worked well. Then they “upgraded” and now the entire thing is shot…app didn’t work with unlocking the car, nothing worked. The app itself wouldn’t even connect to the internet which I think was half the problem despite full signal. Oh well Customer service pleasant and as helpful as possible but no helping an app which hasn’t even named the buttons on the app properly.

Whenever I deal with a product or company that operates this poorly, I look forward to reading about their inevitable collapse. A company simply can’t operate in a way like this and survive. Application is barely functional and their customer services doesn’t respond. Awful company and one to completely avoid. I will be in future.
