This new update has fixed the main issue I had with the app, AirPlay wouldnt work so I couldn’t cast and watch the anime on my TV. But now with the new update this is fixed. I got the subscription solely to watch Ragna Crimson, but I’ve found other anime I want to watch like Chained Soldier, Made In Abyss, Akame Ga Kill, Peter Grill, The Eminence in Shadow, Call of the Night to name a few. Now if they could just get the English dub faster, Netflix drops both dubs on the day of release, this should be the norm. I’m fed up waiting to watch Chained Soldier. Another issue I have is the censorship, Redo of Healer, Peter Grill & a few others have all the Ecchi scenes censored, but Gushing over Magical Girls & Chained Soldier isn’t censored. I do not understand censoring content on a subscription based app, this is not TV, it shouldn’t be censored, this is a big turn off for me. They even censored a broken finger in Redo of Healer, it looks ridiculous. They also added a 30 second skip forward/back button in this update which I really needed, as I couldn’t skip forward while watching on my phone, as I had to drag the time bar and it’s in the same place as the home button. This update has fixed most of the issues I had with the app, it’s just cosmetic problems I have now like the view of the anime in my queue, all the anime is now in small icons on the side of the screen, I preferred the old large icon view. But the new update is a big improvement on the app.
App doesn’t work video player doesn’t even try to load just gives a play button with a line through it. I paid money for something that doesn’t work
It has no big anime’s and quality goes down after buffering I’d not recommend it
This app has a lot of annoying controlling problems which I’m surprised that they aren’t fixed let but the biggest problem has to be the large amount of missing content. We only get about a 1/3 of what’s on the website on the app but I’m hopeful these issues will be fixed soon. (Month’s later). No fix’s to the controls or to the missing content. Just some piss poor excuse to why. Goodbye HIDIVE, your such a let down.
They took my money for my Scription and didn’t renew it.!!!!!!!! And I’m not able to login to my account on phone!!!!!!!!
I want to give the app a good rating but it’s so hard to find your episode. I started a new show and fell asleep. Now I can’t go back to previous or next episode. It doesn’t even tell you the title of the show. It’s impossible to find. This app needs to do better. It’s got some good shows it’s just hard to watch

So here is my assessment. First I love the content. The shows are amazing and I am glad that apps like HIDIVE exist to bring this content. However, there are some issues that I wish to bring to your attention that need addressing. First, it’s the inconsistency of logging in. There are times where I periodically would have to sign back into my HIDIVE account just to log back into my device. This is a headache. There is no other streaming media that I have this problem with except for HIDIVE. I recommend that HIDIVE work on this so customers can stay logged in on multiple devices without being logged off and can log off remotely. Most other streaming services already have this feature and it’s years old. It’s time for HIDIVE to get with the program. Second and last, the content itself. I am watching Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon that is streaming on its 5th season and for some reason the 12th episode isn’t available. It just disappeared. This makes no sense. Please address this. I do not want to go to another streaming service for my anime when HIDIVE is probably the one anime source that provides me both sub and dub content not only quickly but efficiently. P.s. do me a solid and get the entire series of Food Wars dubbed and subbed on HIDIVE for crying out loud. It makes no sense that another anime company has seasons 3-5 and you can only see the dubbed or subbed versions of season 2 on another streaming app and I don’t like paying for three different services for the same content.
Basic functionality from a streaming application is missing. There is no way to track where you left off, the history is combine if you forget the name of the anime good luck finding it. Overall, worse experience I had from a streaming service. I hope they fix basic functionalities of a streaming app and it will go a long way.
