it apways prompt the backup warninh about the identifier.
I am new to food storage, and I don't bake. I would like to be able to add prepackaged emergency food pails , MRE, or backpacking meals to my food inventory total easily. I have not figured it out yet, other than manually entering each portion as a pasta? Example: Mountain House meals, or Wise Food Company Emergency Food Pail, MRE cases, etc. Otherwise, I think this app will help me focus on my storage and inventory a bit at a time, rather than be overwhelmed by wondering where to start.
Could be more easily updated.
I was disappointed with this app. Not properly orchestrated with good instructions to follow. I could have got all the help I wanted from the LDS web site by searching for emergency preparedness and food storage. This app should be free. It needs a lot more work, maybe do a redesign from scratch.
When an item is scanned that is already in the database, it should AUTOMATICALLY update the total rather than having to manually adjust the quantity. Also when I tried to alter my storage goals, it gave me some "cocoa" error and wouldn't allow me to change them.
Gave this a 2 star because of it's potential, however I got frustrated with it. I wanted an inventory of my pantry not so much as an emergency app. I liked the scanning part of it. Now what frustrated me about it: - when I scanned a can of beans it did not fit into category so I had to settle as a dry legume even though it is not. Need more categories like canned goods. - when I scanned another can a beans like the first of course it had the same label. Problem was since it had the same label app assumed it must have the same expiry date. I could only have one expiry date for the same type of can. - if there some trick to fixing the above problem I do not know as there is no documentation on how to use this software. BSJ
It definitely looks like this app has tons of potential. I would recommend making more user-friendly interface, have an ability to add pictures/images to new categories and foremost integrate a shopping list. This app has great elements : variety of units, overal preparedness, quite accurate bar scanner, tons of categories and ability to edit them. If this app would get updated with earlier listed suggestions, I would not mind paying for it up to $5 (which I did for Prep & Pantry full version). To DEV: Looks like a lot of work has been put in to this up, and with few tweaks you can make you time worth the money. I will check back on this app in few months and hopefully see new additions (even if there is extra cost)
Wow. Install, barcode scan, frozen app. I don't even get to test it!
Where can you change standard units? Lbs/kgm? It's got potential, though you wouldn't guess from the 90's style splash loading screen.
