HOMER: Fun Learning For Kids

When will App developers get it? We public know that if we sign up for a free trial that after one month you are going to debit us CHF 8 per month. We also know that we don’t have the memory or discipline to cancel everything we signed up for. Free trials followed by monthly subscriptions just don’t work for me. Like most others, I am deleting this App before trying it. I also feel very deceived that you made me answer a whole bunch of questions about my child before revealing that I can’t go further without signing up to the monthly subscription. The only model which works for me is an unconditional trial. Cut me off after a month. If the app is good enough then I will gladly pay for it. To be worth CHF 8 per month the App had better be damn good, and my child would need to be making alot of progress. With this particular App I will never know. I’m deleting it as I suspect I would use it once, then forget, then wonder why I am being charged CHF 8 per month. One star awarded for your deception of hiding the fee until I had done alot of work answering questions about my child.

We use this app for over a year and it worked wonderfully. We love the content! Then, one day it just stopped working in between my first kid and second kid playing it during quiet time, after the guided access timer went off. The subscription was not over, we were logged in, nothing changed. I got a refund because I could not access my account, and then tried to get another subscription. The very first day, when the Guided Access timer ended play, and I tried to give my second child a turn, the subscription page came up and would not redeem our subscription purchased THAT DAY even though I was logged in. There is some kind of glitch going on that needs fixed ASAP.

Homer has fraudulently charged us for months despite us canceling, disputing with our credit card and with Apple. We continue to be charged and both Homer and Apple say they cannot help! DO NOT PURCHASE BECAUSE THEY WONT LET YOU CANCEL

My son was so bored with this app. It was immediately too simple and there was no way to make it more challenging. I think if it were grade based instead of age based selections it would work better. It needs to somehow be personally customizable to be accurate. If you have an intelligent child they will be bored with this app very quickly.

HE LOVES THIS APP

As somebody who is blind and artistic, this is one of the few apps that doesn’t cause me to have sensory overload with the character voices. The only issue I am having with it is it keeps freezing when I’m doing it nativity. Even when I turn the Internet off to use my mobile data, it still does that. on my phone, it either freezes or it sometimes runs very very slow. Please fix. I have an iPhone 11. sorry for the typos, I meant blind and autistic. Not artistic. Also, please bring back the HOMER stories! They were awesome! I really like the stories where it just basically reads it to you, like as if someone were reading you a stories like the homer originals that you guys used to have. that was cool. I like that you put real audiobooks in there though. And other than that, could you please fix the freezing issue? thank you and keep up the good work. I know this review is old, but I do have an updated problem. The problem I’m currently having is that it won’t let me exit out of activities on. Apple will only let me do it on android. And also on android it will let me listen to the stories where it will not on Apple. When I try to hit the button, nothing happens. Please fix system update system update..

My autistic child loved Speakaboos and I am not sure why it is not available anymore. This happens with apps a lot and it makes it so frustrating
