Honey Harmonica

I was hoping for this app to be good. It let me down. I noticed as soon as I started playing that it couldn’t change to the sharp of that key. It also was not sensitive. I also noticed it was not accurate for sound.

Its a nice app but theres 2 to 3 second lag between tapping the note and the tone starting. Very hard to play something with the lag, someone more experienced with music might be able to make it work

This isn’t the way to learn the harmonica. Too much partially given information. Get a harmonica and teach yourself.

This is overall a very good app. It’s fun to play with and with the added everything package for only $1.99 it includes a lot of very useful tools and 185 songs to play with. My only complaints are that it is not as easy to switch songs as it could be, and that you cannot play along with it on your own harmonica. A simple browse button for the song library above the song lyrics button would be highly useful. I would love it and change my rating to five stars if it used the microphone and allowed me to play along on my own harmonica with the song demos. This would make it a much more useful and effective teaching tool.

If you are genuinely trying to learn harmonica do not buy this app, you’re crazy. This is a tool to annoy the hell out of people not to play an instrument. This is a tool, use it wisely.

This is an awesome tool for anyone that is learning to play the harmonica. Easy to use. Helped me to start playing recognizable songs in no time!!

Hi. I love this app. It makes super good music with the harmonica. But there is one thing it is missing. Song composer. People should be able to make their own songs and share them on a community song browser within the app. That would make it ten times better!!! Please read this!!! Thank you!😄

I love this app! I play several instruments pretty well, but harmonica . . not so much. So here is the story. I bought this app and I was playing around with it outside on the porch. My girlfriend was in the kitchen and heard me. Later, When we were eating dinner, she complimented me on my harmonica playing. So here is my problem: do I tell her it was an iPad app she was hearing, or do I let her think I have become a great harmonica player? I decided to tell her it was the iPad. And she said to me, "It was you I heard playing the harmonica. The type of harmonica it was doesn't matter. You sounded great". So, needless to say, I LOVE THIS APP! You will too.

I like it so much I wish it could be used in garage band.

What a great design! I've had the app about an hour and am giving it 4-stars on first impression. I've already upgraded to get the whole songbook. This app looks like a very good way to learn new songs. The bars that come down the screen, à la Guitar Hero, combined with Demo and the ability to control the tempo speed, look to make a very easy-to-understand method for learning new songs by watching the app and playing your own harp.
