We recently moved away from this app to a much better one, DMSS. Honview isn’t very user-friendly or customizable, and isn’t updated often to keep it on the cutting edge. The app is at the dull edge of technology.
This does not work while connected to Google fiber mesh router. Not sure what the alternatives are.
App support is horrible. Giving it a 1 rating is over rating it.
This came with our home security system. The video system and playback is horrible. The software constantly crashes and we have to reboot. We will look to replace it. It’s terrible and I strongly recommend that you stay away from it.

I have experience with several video surveillance systems and their apps; Axis, Exaqt, Ring, Arlo. While none are perfect this is by far the worst. If I had known it was this bad I never would have agreed to have Honeywell cameras installed. If you are considering a new installation do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. The app itself is years behind the competition. Video is difficult to review and takes forever to set up. What would takes no time on on other apps takes forever on this one. Why is this company even selling a system and app that is so bad? They should be embarrassed to have their name on this garbage.
Months after Notifications stopped working, they suddenly start working again. Of course now you can’t seem to turn individual alerts off. It’s all or nothing. And NO support. They want you to call your “security professional” and have them come out and take a look. For what? To tell you that the app doesn’t work? Unbelievable that a company as well known as Honeywell would continue to offer this piece of crap!
The app is beyond useless. I’ve had Arlo in past and wish I stuck w Arlo for new house. Integration w the app alone is awful and the cameras aren’t too far behind. Stick w Arlo or another brand. I feel sick to my stomach that I wasted $2500 on this trash.
Used a great local company for a new complete home security system but unfortunately the app to be able to monitor the new cameras is complete garbage. If I could have given it zero stars I would have. First it isn’t compatible with iOS/iPhone, the whole reason we installed security cameras was so we can be notified when movement is detected outside of our home and we could see who pulls in and out of the driveway. Because it’s not compatible with iOS/iPhone, we get zero notifications. You would have to go into the app and check the cameras regularly to see if anything is going on around the home. Not helpful. Second, the app is so hard to navigate. Too many useless tabs/buttons to get to things you need(that still don’t work for our family because we have iPhones). And on top of everything else, you have to manually load your cameras every time you open the app. I feel it would be quicker and more helpful if your cameras were automatically there on the screen when you opened the app. I feel we paid FAR too much money for this system for it to not do anything we need/wanted. And I don’t think our family should have to buy brand new Android phones just to be able to view/be notified of any potential threats. Terrible, terrible app.
