Title says it all - a pure scam is what this is. Overpriced clean, worst cleaner ever, broke things, lied about it.. and customer service will refuse to refund anything let alone compensate for the broken toilet seat. STAY AWAY from these guys.
The system just PRESUMED previous settings from a previous clean and the booking was confirmed before I could even review and confirm the settings ! I didn’t even choose how many hours, what to focus on - the system just booked it automatically - I didn’t even review or confirm ! And it booked WRONGLY. BOOKED DOUBLE THE TIME THAT I NEEDED and I can’t even go back and make changes or skip without penalty because it’s for next day. Deleting. And never using again.
I used this service in 2022… a total disgrace! Ridiculously expensive with the poorest quality ever; to give you an idea, one of the task I asked the man to do was to change my bed sheets; pretty simple right? NOPE! later than evening I couldn’t locate the dirty sheets, to then find out he put the clean one ON TOP OF THE DIRTY ONES. He also chipped the toothpaste cup in the bathroom and overall was a very bland and low quality service. The app asked me to try again, they gave me a coupon and had like 50% off or something… I asked one thing: send me someone else. Guess who arrived? The same guy. A nice person but he was not a cleaner, never done it as a job and you could tell. So I asked for refund- that I didn’t get - and delete the app, the account etc. An year or so passed, saw a promo and thought “let’s give this another go, maybe they’ve improved their services. WELLLLLLL…. Not only this was not the case, the customer service went down as well and I realised that when they say “your account has been deleted”, it’s actually not deleted AT ALL. It store all your information, they’re not “anonymised” in any form and so, I delete my card etc. DO NOT USE IT. Who knows what they’re doing with your data, not to mention how poor the service is, how unbothered the customer service is. It could have been great. It’s a disgrace.
Uninstalled
Cowboy cleaners and criminally awful customer service. Our first cleaner ruined our kitchen tap by using toilet cleaner on it, and later housekeepers failed to turn up at all. The last straw was being charged a £20 “cancellation fee” because the cleaner supposedly couldn’t get into the flat and only tried calling me once. No voicemail, nothing. Customer service rude and unhelpful. Avoid this service like the plague
The cleaners are not very good and there is high turnover. Not a good service overall. Beware of giving the cleaner your keys as Housekeep will charge you for getting them back.
I have booked 6 cleaning sessions with Housekeep, trying to see if it would improve to what I hoped it could be. However, the cleaning is unreliable/not to the same standard, I had all of my condiments and partners insulin put in the bin!! Why they would throw away medication is actually beyond me. Additionally they don’t really “fully confirm” a cleaner until 6pm the day before the clean… which obviously is a terrible model & refused to refund me, after trying to book again and then through a different more reliable app, when I said I can’t be expected to find a cleaner the day of if a cleaner doesn’t confirm. Finally, the customer support team just isn’t good - no sense of empathy or actually looking out for customers. Giving a bad rep to all the actual good cleaners out there.
No one showed up while I had been charged 80 pounds!
Absolute shambles. Scheduled in first clean weeks in advance. Cleaner didn’t turn up in the slot and said he was going to come 1.5hr later which I couldn’t do. Managed to get another one booked for later in the day who turned up, locked herself in my bedroom for 10mins and then left!! Don’t waste your time!
