Great international finance because of HSBC’s international status, it’s odd that for multiple currencies accounts linked to one Everyday Global account it doesn’t display your net balance. It displays the account as $0 - how much you have, but not necessarily the correct drawn (-$X) if you overdraw. Seems like a sneaky way for the bank to generate interest
Can’t have widget
This may well be the most average app I’ve ever used. It feels like a banking app from the early 2000’s. it lacks the most basic of functionality. You can’t categorise transactions, no PayID, the UX/UI is just boring. Transaction push notifications don’t work. Needs a major overhaul and redesign to bring into like with modern banking.
Activating the app for my new account was confusing. Trying to look at an account is a disaster. It took me multiple tries to open my account to view transactions and activate my card. As far as I can tell, the only way to look at my account is to click in the bottom left of the enormous “account” card which spans the screen from left to right. Why is the app full of advertising for other HSBC products?? Surely that could be in a different area like a services tab and not directly below my account and taking up 80% of the screen.

Convenient and easy to transfer money and use…. Thanks HSBC
Clean app but a few additions would make it perfect, namely: 1. Push notifications when money is deposited into an account 2. Should have the option to hide the cashback transactions in your transaction history for an account. 3. Better search functionaility - should be able to search transactions by name, amount, credit/debit etc
HSBC’s frustratingly delayed approach to real-time banking transactions and balance updates highlights a glaring technological and operational shortcoming. Unlike other banks that swiftly reflect transactions, HSBC’s archaic system lags behind due to cumbersome security protocols and sluggish processing times. Even pending payments seem to disappear into a black hole, taking hours or even until the next day to show up, leaving you in the dark about your true financial status. What’s even more baffling is that despite this supposed caution, the bank still manages to allow your account to teeter on the brink of deficit, while your balance remains blissfully unaware for hours or longer. HSBC’s inability to keep up with the times not only tests your patience but also raises doubts about their commitment to customer convenience and modern banking standards.
Absurd and the worst way to get a bank statement! You can get only monthly PDF statements (hardly convertible to other formats). Also, for the transaction list for an account you can have only for the period of 3 months.
