This game is broken.
Just want to take a moment to update my review now that, six years after my initial review, the developer has responded with a very timely (that means it took a lot of time, right?) and detailed response. Very happy to change it from two stars to an amount of stars that more accurately reflects the efforts the dev team puts into responding to concerns. I’ve been playing this game for a few months now, and it’s a pretty good time waster. However, it is 100% pay to win. If you’re not willing to fork over money (bare minimum for a premium account and the goblin, which I have done), you’re not going to get anywhere. Everything you need to build is too expensive and takes way too long. It can take days to save up to build a single room. The combat is completely broken. I’ve unlocked every map, so I usually have around 14 people to attack, and usually maybe attack one of them. Every single other person is hundreds of thousands of attack points above me, and I’ll waste all of my food trying to change them to someone I can attack. Because of this, you can’t build up money to buy things to make yourself better to be able to fight them. Such a good idea, a really fun game early on, but once you hit a certain point (level 25+), the game breaks and you basically can’t pay it unless you pay. The latest “sale” is giving a discount on some stuff from ~$1100 to $150 - that’s not a sale, that’s a rip off.
