iAnnotate 4 — PDFs & more

I dont know what you did, but now the app crashes whenever I try to see my markings. So it is practically as useful as any free of charge pdf viewer

Zależało mi na plikach do przeglądania PDF'ów z możliwością naruszenia notatek i dobrą synchronizacją z Google Drive. Ta wypadła najlepiej. Notatki w PDF'ach zrobione za jej pomocą lub Acrobata wyglądają podobnie i mają podobne umiejscowienia. W nie wszystkich aplikacjach tak dobrze to działa. Synchronizacja w Google Drive też jest super. Polecam. Testowałem poza tą aplikacją: Adobe Acrobat (kłopoty z synchronizacją z Google Drive) , PDF Expert (jak wyżej), Foxit PDF (darmowy, ma swoją wersję na iPhone, iPad i Windows, bardzo dobra synchronizacja z Google Drive ale nie odzwierciedla tak dobrze notatek jak iAnnotate. Gdyby nie iAnnotate wybrałbym Foxit PDF.

I bought version 4 (to replace the ageing Goodreader), but it is a big disappointment! I expected that version 3 (which was excellent) would be a starting point, but it was not. The only benefit of version 4 is the ability to use it on an iPhone (version 4 supported only iPads). Version 4 misses: multiple tabs (a great feature of version 3) - one could work in one document, but opened in multiple tabs; and the convenience of highlighting and copying text of version 3 - now when I want to include highlighted text in a note, I need to make five(!) actions: select - copy, select - highlight, accept highlight, add text to note, accept note... A nightmare compared to version 3 in which all those actions could be completed with just one text selection... Some small bugs still exist.

The app is generally awesome, but the conversion from docx to pdf keeps failing today. I use the app to grade, and delays add up. Please fix this.

The app is missing Apple Pencil Pro squeeze gestures. Other than that, it is good. IAnnotate would be great if it could take full advantage of the squeeze gesture for the pencil pro.

I’ve used this app for years and love it… when it works. Periodically, though, it glitches and I end up losing hours of editing work. This happens when I open a Word document on my iPad and write on it but then somehow the PDF file it saves is corrupted and I can’t open it with any application on any platform. I sync iAnnotate with DropBox and even going to version history is a dead end. I’m on the market for a new go-to PDF mark-up app because this has happened so frequently.
