ic.row – indoor rowing

Just started using the app, and it has helped motivate me on the Concept 2. Works well, with minor and occasional lags when streaming via Airplay. Only using “Just Row” mode at moment, so if these exist in Race mode, I apologise. Some ideas (mostly for entertainment): Sunset/Sunrise/Night mode or course ? Option for duck colours instead of labels ? (Curse you Varsity Duck. Colour him the most evil please) Better visibility for lap finish location ? (Especially 30-60 seconds out so I can blow my lungs out trying to sprint to the finish) More scull colours/patterns ? (just because they are cool) Would gladly pay a subscription to support future development. Nice job.

I’m new to rowing and this app but have really enjoyed it so far. I was getting tired on my last row but kept going so that I could finish the lap and pass more ducks. It was also very easy to connect the app to the PM5 on my C2 rower.

I use the ic.row app to help me get through tough rowing workouts. It’s great! You get so preoccupied chasing the giant rubber ducky competitors that your workout is over before you know it! I like that you can choose between different courses to mix things up and keep it fresh. And the races are a great way to challenge yourself when you want to really push. Lots of fun!

Needed something to look at while steady stating, this was perfect. Just a nice way to walk down meters

What a great rowing app. The only item missing is the effect of getting wet on a missed catch.

Truly stunning environment with multiple “worlds” in which to row. A mini map showing location would be a nice addition.

I got my rower a little over a year ago, and I quickly got tired of looking at numbers on the display. I found ic.row while searching for a virtual rowing experience. This app exceeded my expectations! The virtual courses are great and it makes you feel like you’re on a peaceful row. The ducks are fun mascots (though I HATE when the Varsity duck passes me)! The developers do a great job of offering seasonal courses, which offer fun little surprises. It helps to keep things fresh and interesting so I’m motivated to sustain my routine. There’s also an extra level of competition as you have the opportunity to row against other app users, or row as a team. It helps to build a sense of community and companionship. The developers do a great job showing appreciation to their users and offering chances for feedback and support. I love this app, and I highly recommend it. I’ve been using it multiple times a week for about a year, and I’m a dedicated fan. It’s the most fun you can have in a rowing app!

I just recently got back into working out on my erg and knew that I needed something to keep me distracted and engaged on the long slogs of meters. This app was the first one I tried and the only one I need. It integrates seamlessly with Strava and my Concept2 logbook, which is huge! And they continue to add new features and contests. I believe you’ll find this app to be a great option in the growing number of rowing apps. Passing ducks on the course is a comical touch that motivates me every time!!

Useless for me personally if I can’t get credit in the Apple fitness and health apps as I do other exercises besides rowing. Haven’t found a way to allow the two apps to share data. It does load and sync to the concept 2 cloud based logbook, otherwise works well.

I’m new to rowing and checked out a few Apps, immediately Indoor Collective stood out to me. I love the perspective and feeling it gives you. I truly feel like Im out on the water. I’m in good company with my ducky’s and love the outdoor scenery. Recently I have joined in the summer sprint series, I’m not the fastest rower but this has definitely put a competitive edge and a lot of fun to race! For me I find rowing relaxing and meditative. I can’t wait to see more courses with different scenery from Indoor Collective. Beat the Duck take me away!
