Idle Lumbercat - Wood Games

Enjoyable, but game freezes every time a new area is unlocked, gets a little annoying with opening and closing, other than that it’s entertaining.

Whatever happened to simply letting people learn the game on their own? Why does every mobile game have a mandatory tutorial? Couldn’t get passed it without being so annoyed. “Click the MANAGER button to hire managers!” Oh boy, glad you told me. I wouldn’t have ever figured that out. I want to like the game. But I just simply can’t.

Not enough variety. The game starts out great - once you get into a rhythm and figure it out you get excited to progress. I even paid for the no-ad version. Quickly realized the game becomes too simple and repetitive. You spend too much time waiting around for houses to build, and it also takes too long to even build up your supply of building materials. All the lumber mills look the same with no change in mechanics and building houses doesn’t actually do come with any incentive. You can either upgrade to a “new” mill (which means restarting progress with all your stations… slow building and hoping you get the right cards to upgrade again) or stay in one spot so that you can develop houses faster. It makes you feel stagnant with no real incentive to keep going.

Game has multiple ads. Spend your money and game might be worth. Not for me. Too many charges too. Why not just sell the game instead you guys have many ads and everywhere I click there is something for sale. No thanks 🙂‍↔️

Very grindy game, with virtually no idling (they initially only let you have 2 hours offline) with everything behind a paywall. I paid to remove ads (which was more expensive than other afk games) and I still couldn’t progress because the game is set up so you can’t progress without spending gems or irl currency. Not sure if it’s a bug but the “fish points” which are used to develop manager cards, do not generate on their own with each order you fill like they’re supposed(?) to. I even bought the relevant fish manager but nothings changed. Also, the fact that there’s no auto save so you can use the game on different devices is insane. You have to manually save and load like this is a 2000s Nintendo game

I love these cute apps but during the tutorial it just stops working. After we accept an offer the app just doesn’t work anymore. I downloaded redownloaded reseted. Nothing I do fixes the fact that I can’t move past the tutorial.

First, I was having issues with ads that were just blasting obnoxious noises and sounds out of nowhere for no reason other than to start all the life out of the user. Now I’m having issues where I’m watching ads and not getting any kind of rewards. I have no incentive to play the special three day events when the orders cannot be filled because no matter what the dumb cat that is supposed to be filling, the orders is choosing not to do their job, even though every single thing is filled for them to do their job. They are just sitting around doing nothing for absolutely no reason and I cannot get any new orders or produce any more lumber because I can’t get rid of the lumber that I already have. I have no incentive to continue playing the main story mode because it moves slower than dinosaurs that are dead and long gone. It takes weeks to produce one house.

I want to enjoy this game, as it looks adorable! But unfortunately I can’t get past the tutorial, as it locks me in one spot. And when I exit the app and restart I’m locked again, on another part of the tutorial and forces me to repeat it again and again regardless if I restart the app again.

Before I download apps or games, I make sure to look at the photos so I know what the game is like. But this game is nothing like it is in the pictures. It is also like an exact copy of Lumber Inc. which is another game THAT LOOKS JUST LIKE THIS. If you’ve played Lumber Inc., and didn’t like it, this isn’t the game for you. I personally would have liked the game if it was like it was in the pictures.
