Every time I try to save a photo it wants to access more photos. I already gave it access to the folder I wanted and am just going to delete the stupid app if it asks again next time I go to save a picture. Well. I lied. Didn’t delete. But I have now. The toolbar at the top blocking content on iOS app makes this inusable.

I’ve tried to open the app many times over the past several hours and the app crashes immediately. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the app and had no change. I’m able to access the website using a browser, so I’m not sure why the app isn’t working.

Imgur used to be great when it was used to host images for Reddit. Now that it’s been taken over by leftist teenager edge lords, it’s been a nightmare. Bans for no apparent reason, emails left unanswered, the “viral” tab has barely any engagement, and of course the massive purge which now makes a ton of links’s all over the internet come in as dead links. Imgur is now a joke and a mere shadow of former self *cue funeral march piano song*

I stopped using the app entirely after the switch to a multi-column layout. The images are now too small to view comfortably, and the format creates an overwhelming experience as I try to navigate through multiple columns. I will not return to the app unless a single-column option is offered.

And there is always a new version. Let me control when I update! I even pay for no ads, let me browse in peace.

I refuse to be forced to update.

Honestly very frustrating

Like most, I too quickly switched back to imgur on Safari. The latest imgur app retrograde enforces a tiles only interface. This annoyance makes it all but useless on even Pro Mac iPhones. It’s simply too difficult to determine what’s worth reading or viewing. Tiles work best on larger screens, the may even work on a decent size iPad, but forcing iPhone users into submission with a crappy user interface isn’t the best way to keep users engaged. While it’s likely that engagement via the iOS app has plummeted after this most unfortunate interface change, the worst new “feature” isn’t the poorly implemented interface — it’s that the already redundant obnoxious ads float above and take center stage. Seriously? For those thinking of trying the app — stick with your web browser, you’ll thank me. See you on imgur!

The new layout is awful. I don’t like the tile layout and not having the option to change it back. Please add the option or change it back pleaaaaseeee. It’s awful
