Still as unstable as it was years ago. Super disappointing.
Crashes on opening. Probably a temporary fault with an otherwise useful app. Hope it’s fixed soon
amazing!I would like to give 100 dollar for this app. Just hope the developer would keep updating this app. Great!
Oh wow, they just added search for PubChem that suddenly let's me view small molecules, and with surface turned on with the electrostatic (or binding properties) view option, I can *see* an estimate of the real character of drug molecules. This is certainly the best visualizer out there for the iPhone. It's so far too slow to make surfaces for large proteins though, on an iPhone 5. Still, it quickly helps me better understand each week's biochemistry headlines since most reported studies already have sent their structural results to the Protein Data Bank.
The dots style depiction is not very useful. please incorporate mesh surface like in coot. Thank you
Excellent app. Love the ability to superimpose structures quickly and easily. Would like a more detailed manual either in app or a link to an online version. Looking forward to future updates! Worth the 0.99c
I very rarely write reviews, but this app proved good enough that I felt compelled to write something about it. I am a computational chemist, and ever since I bought the original iPad 1, I've been looking for a good program for visualization of biological molecules in the iPad. I've even purchased a couple (one of them > $10.00), but this is by far the best one I've tried. The PDB interface works flawlessly. I could load an enzyme directly from PDB very quickly, the program already chose the best visualization (and it was really good), located and pointed active sites, ligand molecules, chains, etc., showing them in a very nice way. Easy to use, functional and **very** lightweight and fast: I still use the original iPad 1, and I could load, rotate, zoom in, zoom out in no time at all, no lag, no freezing. If there is anything to complain about is that I didn't find an easy "rate it" button in it, so I had to open the apple store, find purchased programs, etc, to rate it. Oh, requests for future releases? VGA output would be awesome. (yeah, I'm on the iPad 1...)
Very cool app. Been waiting for this since I got my iPhone! Beautiful ribbon structure, selection of chains and ligands, even some neighbor detection!
Just got the app, and it's great. I would really like the ability to view ligand pockets, and perhaps a full screen mode. Great work MolSoft!
