Take a pic, let iNat’s AI look at it and tell you what it might be and then a human telling you what it is. The best identifier app I’ve tried! Great fun and also helping science. Go for it!

Awesome app, really helped me connect with and understand the nature around me.

If you want a new hobby and help to document biodiversity wherever you are this app is the answer. It is fun and easy to use, and I learn a lot about the native flora. Makes every walk so much more interesting! I have been contacted by other enthusiasts for interesting exchange. Some users go along with your classification whatever you write unfortunately - you can’t trust the app fully, but need a good flora to compare - lot of fun.

The best general identification app for plants and animals.

This is my over all favorit app. Always with me, loaded with answers.

All you have to do is take pictures. You can even post sound and other media, then scientists use the data to study what is happening in our world with nature. It’s also a great way to learn about all the diverse plants and animals that surround us. Have fun and join a community as well.

Where dark mode

iNaturalist is a great app for anyone who likes nature, foraging, or goes on hikes a lot. I upload anything I find on hikes and generally within a few days someone has identified it. It has a pretty good AI as well that can help identify what you see, though it can be wrong sometimes so I usually take it with a grain of salt and wait for a confirming identification by a real person. It’s great for documenting what I’ve seen where, and using the explore feature I can see where other people have observed particular species to go try and find them myself. Overall a great app that I would highly recommend!
