Indyx: Wardrobe & Outfit App

I’m obsessed with Indyx! I love getting a bird’s eye view of my style patterns by tracking my outfits, and playing grown up paper dolls with what I already own. The app is so user friendly and beautiful to look at, 10/10!!

so easy to use, and does an amazing job of removing the background of garment photos. i think it’s a great tool for planning outfits. it also helped me to realize how many great pieces i already have in my wardrobe—goes hand-in-hand with my goal to shop more sustainably! i’m really excited for when they start to roll out wardrobe analytics—that would be a game changer

I would perish without this app. It's my absolute favorite! It has helped me shop my wardrobe and come up with awesome outfits that I can't seem to pull together on the spot. My life is infinitly better since using it. An easy reverse search of my items and finding original product photos has my wardrobe looking amazing. The best out there!

So impressed by how easy it was to catalogue my closet with their technology! Now when I’m getting ready each morning I just open the app and mix and match pieces instead of destroying my room trying to put together an outfit each day.

Clicked the link in the description for a youtuber I support, downloaded the app, tried to sign up with email, clicked on the verification link in my email, redirected me to a site in safari, had me re-enter my email, clicked on the link again in my email… Did that about 7 times before I realized it was never going to let you in. Deleting the app; hopefully they do something about it but it looks like according to previous reviews they will not

Love the idea and concept of Indyx. I’ve worked at for a Retail company for several years and have a lot of clothes. It got the point where I was consistently overwhelmed with how much I had in my closet. Indyx has lessened the decision paralysis I experience every morning getting dressed, and I look forward to planning my outfits for the week (plus backups). I can’t stop telling everyone about this app! There are no downsides to using this app, but there is some feedback which is why I removed one star. 1) Focus on the User — app layout emphasizes Indyx services and explore other closets. I wish the app put a greater focus on managing your closet and removing buttons for unavailable services (Wardrobe stats, marketplace, etc.) 2) Better experience uploading clothes — the selling point of the app is the background removal; it’s very accurate. Some drawbacks to the tool is I find it makes my photos slightly blurry and it’s a pain to upload one piece at a time. 3) Less clicks when editing clothing details — uploading clothes is not seamless. It takes you through 3 pages to input brand, size & color. I wish it was all in one page (brand, size, color, season, category, purchase date, cost, etc). That way, you can input all the details at once instead of going back into the item and navigating the different sub-areas. 4) More clothing categories — include activewear or the ability to create your own categories! 5) refine search bar — it’s clunky and you can’t search by sub categories. For example, if I want to look at all my button ups, I have to look at ALL my tops or type button up in the search bar. If you have +200 articles of clothing, it would be beneficial to have the ability to refine your searches.

I can spend hours creating outfits from my existing clothes. I’m so inspired to flex my creative muscles to style my clothes in new ways. With a bit of time investment upfront to catalogue your wardrobe, this app helps you see what clothes you have and what you actually wear. I’ve used it to pinpoint gaps in my closet but mostly to deter myself from buying something when I already own an item that is similar, or with the knowledge that I probably won’t get the cost per a wear to make it worth it. 10/10 recommend.

I started using this app out of curiosity and it helped me pick out clothes from my own closet that are color coordinated.

I have been using Indyx for the last couple of months, and I love it. I have tried other wardrobe apps and found them hard to use, and I never got all my outfits loaded. In a couple of weeks I got most of my clothes loaded, haven’t done my summer ones yet because I haven’t needed to, but have been having fun using the outfit calendar to both create outfits and track what I have been doing. You get more information in terms of cost per wear if you put in when you bought the item, for how much, etc. but it’s not necessary if you don’t want to. If you’re on the fence, give it a try!
