It’s embarrassing to ask the restaurant if they know this app before paying and most of them don’t?!! I ended up using my own card. So disappointed and will not use this again!

Just wanted to give some feedback on my experience after using my work Xmas voucher, I love the concept of helping small business, but using the in kind app was difficult, it was hard to filter listings to restaurants, let alone of any specific food type. Trying to scan around the map manually, I kept tapping into businesses; trying to go back would take me out of the map completely having to start again. Once I found an interestingly named business I had to look them up in Google as the in kind app offers no suggestion about what their food is like/price range/menu. If the restaurant was good looking I had to check that they are still in business (sad to see so many closed) and then ask them if they accept your app still (got that idea from other spark staff that had this problem too) for me they had to call their manager and do a quick tutorial over the phone 😂 The place I found was amazing, and paying was easy at the end, but it was a mission to get to that point. I will not be using the app again.

Problem is most of the places on this don’t even know how it works and had no idea

This app doesn’t seem to work as advertised. Downloaded it this afternoon to redeem a voucher given to me as a birthday gift. Tried to use it at the restaurant but the owner didn’t know how it worked. Now the app just keeps telling me to update it even when I just did. Really hope the restaurant got its money!

Wouldn’t allow me to type in location and unable to use my credit. Absolutely useless!

i tipped for a order it was wrong and support only offers me $25 off $75 COUPON making me spend more on their app probably won’t use this app again. horrible customer service and support

I entered in the toast id correctly. so much rigamarole and onboarding just to not even work. so I don't really get the point of this app. probably will delete.

Downloaded the app for the $50 off promo went to an expensive restaurant bazzar by Jose Andreas and when I tried the app at home it worked fine, second I got to restaurant I got a weird technical difficulty page so got stuck with an expensive bill at a place I wouldn’t have tried. Reached out to customer service they were rude and didn’t care to fix issue.

Misleading advertising. Went to make dinner reservations at a restaurant I had wanted to try, and saw advertisement for this app, with $50 off as a ‘special welcome gift’. Seemed like a good deal, but when I tried to reserve a table through the app, all the spots were taken through the discount expiration date. Of course, plenty of seats were available with no discount, through Open Table. Yet, the app and discount continue to be advertised on the restaurant’s website. We ate at the restaurant without the discount anyways, and I will be deleting this app. Edit: developer just responded that we could use the app to pay for the meal anyways and get the discount but that was never clear and we enjoyed our meal a week ago so it is too late. App was deleted and I will not try to use it again. As with many things, better to deal with the company directly than from some confusing third party app.
