Update Fri 11 November 2022 Can you make a function for auto capital letters at beginning of sentences please? I’ve not received any reply from you to any other notes below so .. it would be polite to reply .. since you expect money from customers. Yours sincerely ☔️☔️🌷 Tuesday 12 July 2022 Rating 1 point Title; jargon jargon jargon Hello iNote developers your first paragraph regards update is complete gibberish to me. I don’t work in your sector, kindly use plain English for people who are not jargon experts. Plus , kindly reply to my last question about pricing. Yours sincerely 🪦📘 No reply to this .. was received. Hello I am using this on the free version, and I see that you have more prices than the “upgrade for £4.99” advertised in-app. What do they all mean? The text is partly hidden for some reason. Kind regards.
I liked this. A snappy little app that looked good & performed well enough. It was around £5.00 to “buy it”, then I discovered that didn’t mean you’d purchased a fully useable app at all!!! There’s an additional £ for ‘sync’ (pretty important function) that I decided was not for me. There’s a function to allow you to sync once every 7 days, but that kinda defeats the object. So, I went back to ‘Shooglebox’ (Free), & manually transferred (yes, one by one) each of the couple of hundred notes I’d put in there. So; £5.00 + 45 mins of my valuable time to be good to go. My only suggestion to the makers is: if you want this app to keep going, you are going to have to include iCloud, Dropbox etc. in a (maybe slightly) revised ‘BUY IT’ complete price! Note to self: Stop buying EVERY ‘Notes’ app you see in these reviews for apps everywhere saying how they are the ‘new’ holy grail of notes apps. Notes + Shooglebox = Free + ACE.
我下载过好几个类似的APP,这是我用过最棒的!很好操作,页面也整洁,容易找到之前的随笔。
No automatic capitals at the start of a note or after a full stop? That’s ridiculous. Why omit such a standard function? Even this review section has it! Virtually every modern text-based app automatically adds capitals where necessary and users get used to expecting the same functionality everywhere. Which means, with this app , I find I’m constantly having to go back over what I’ve written to add capitals in all the appropriate places. This is as irritating as it is time wasting. If the developers don’t care what their writing looks like, fine for them. And maybe there are lots of people who are, so to say, privately illiterate and neither care nor perhaps know how to use capital letters. But there must be many, many more who do know and who do care, and I’m one of them. I don’t care if no one but me ever sees what I write. I see it and it offends my eyes if there are no capital letters where there should be. I thought it looked an interesting and useful app and was fully prepared to pay for the upgrade, but I’m not prepared to put up with even a free app that is so irritating and time wasting, however good it may be in other respects. Besides, if the developers have been either careless or uncaring in this respect, where else in the app might they have cut corners or not been careful and to what extent am I risking losing what I write in it?If I can’t trust an app to add capitals like virtually every other modern app I don’t feel I can entrust my work to it either. What a pity. It looked potentially so useful. Maybe I’ll come back and have a look in another year or so to see if this has been sorted out and, if so, buy the app then. Maybe.
I tried out a lot of different note taking apps. Most would allow either one desired feature but not others. If you have experience taking a lot of interconnected notes, you know how important it is to have multiple dimensions upon which to categorise them. This is the only app I came across that wasn’t a monthly subscription, that allowed for multiple ways to rank, highlight, pin and search notes. Well worth it.
I can simply write anything I want and pin it or strikethrough, my favorite app in this month
I have severe ADHD and consequently I need to put ideas down on paper as soon as I get them. If I don’t, they simply disappear. These ideas are not of a single nature, sometimes it’s small checklists, sometimes it’s instructions for something I need to do later during the day, sometimes it’s an interesting idea that has struck me, sometimes it’s something that I want to go to think about later (seriously, if a chain of thought starts up in my mind, I have one of two choices, either drop what I’m doing and follow it, or keep doing what I’m doing and forget it forever). Because the things that I want to note down are so different in nature, something like Apple reminders doesn’t really work for me. I’ve also tried using various note-taking apps but I often end up being overwhelmed with options generally and specifically with where my notes are. When I want to jot something down, I want to do it as quickly and simply as possible, I don’t want to be wondering about tags or folders and where whatever is present in my mind at the moment fits into such a organisational structure. So I end up just jotting it down somewhere. Now, there’s another problem, sometimes I note something down only to forget that I even noted it down at all. In a physical, paper notebook this isn’t so much of an issue, the physicality of opening the book, looking at what else is on the page and then writing my note down helps immensely with my memory. One time tapping away at my phone screen is the same as another time. The problem with a paper notebook is that I can’t redo notes, I can’t easily edit them, and I WILL lose the damn thing. This app solves both the problems: little cards next to other little cards helps me to remember something in context, being able to change note colours and format text (to an extent) also helps with that. And even if I lose my phone (which hasn’t happened so far - thank goodness) my notes are backed up so I can get to them again. At the moment I have a Numbers document that I use as my external memory (like I said I tried every other app out there, OneNote was also okay but it’s easier to edit a Numbers document on my iPhone than to edit OneNote). Why Numbers? Because I’ve yet to run out of canvas space, I use different sheets as broad categories (home, work, daily routine, etc.) I can type things in text boxes, edit them, move the text boxes relative to each other (it aids in memory) and if I use tables I can have checkboxes as well. Needless to say, th
