Preheat oven to 375F (190C) and whisk together 1 Tablespoon melted butter and 1 ½ teaspoons flour. Use a pastry brush to lightly but thoroughly grease every cavity of your madeleine pan. Set aside. 1 Tablespoon unsalted butter, 1 ½ teaspoons all-purpose flour In a small heatproof bowl, melt remaining 10 Tablespoons of butter. Set aside to cool. 10 Tablespoons (141 g) unsalted butter In a large bowl, combine eggs, sugars, vanilla extract, and salt. Whisk vigorously until thoroughly combined (about 30 seconds). 2 large eggs, ½ cup (100 g) granulated sugar, 3 Tablespoons light brown sugar, 2 teaspoons vanilla extract, ⅛ teaspoon salt Sift flour into the egg mixture, about ⅓ of the flour at a time, gently stirring into egg mixture after each addition. 1 ¼ cup (155 g) all-purpose flour Drizzle cooled melted butter around the edge of the batter and add zest, if using. Gently fold into batter using a spatula until ingredients are thoroughly combined (but do not over-mix). 2 teaspoons lemon or orange zest Drop batter by heaping Tablespoon into prepared pan. Transfer to center rack of 375F (190C) preheated oven and bake for 9 minutes or madeleines are light golden brown and spring back when lightly touched. Remove to a cooling rack to cool immediately. If your madeleine pan did not hold all of the batter, allow the pan to cool before re-brushing with butter/flour mixture and refilling with batter and baking your next batch. If desired, sprinkle madeleines with additional powdered sugar or dip in melted chocolate before serving.

There’s a weird magenta hue in the blacks, and green hue in the whites on the final image in rich mode. The app doesn’t preview properly the image within the frame, it’s going to print wider than what it’s showing you, it’s like they forgot to pass the image by the size of the frame. Sending data to the printer takes forever, kind of killing the instant vibe.

App does not work on my iPhone 15 Pro Max, iOS 17. We need this for a party for our library to kick off Summer Reading on Saturday, but we may not be able to have this working by then. Terrible and sad.

the App itself only does very minimal functionality. 95% of the filters are…not good looking. At least it can print photo as it is marketed, but do not expect anything more than that.

Unlike computer printers, it does not give the option of white letterboxing should your cropped area not fit an 8:5 ratio within the larger image. This DQs a significant number of photos. Less importantly (but still a bit of a bug), I had a slightly rotated and zoomed image which printed fully zoomed in. Such a glitch pushed me to edit a copy of my shots and save to a dedicated folder. Would also be nice to be able to connect to a computer, but, now that I know the ratio, I can just save an edit in 8:5 and share it to my phone. It works, mostly. Could be a lot better.

Right at the start the app stated it was a Chinese company but I installed it anyway. I enjoyed using it to print. Unfortunately after a week it wanted me to grant it access to my log in data? That’s when I knew I had to remove it from my phone. Why is Fuji using a Chinese company to create its app? Why do they need access to my log in data?

I’m not sure why the reviews are so low. I’ve had no problems with it and its super easy to work. Hopefully my review will get the rating up because it’s really a good app. I was super skeptical when i saw the reviews because they were rated so low but once i downloaded it and tried it, it worked perfectly! All the pictures are sooo cute!

I’ve had 3 misprints out of 7 attempts using this app so far, and all have shown cropped correctly before printing then done the literal inverse of what I painstakingly selected. Film is not cheap and wasting product due to a nonfunctional app that clearly was thrown together with very little effort is frustrating to say the least.

The app does not work. You cannot use the printer without the app. It does not acknowledge that it’s connected to my phone. It may print one photo after an hour of trying to encourage it to work - - and then the next second say there is no Bluetooth connection. I would *never* buy this printer again with such a terrible app and support. Just stick to the actual instax camera (which I have and love) or find another brand of printer. So disappointed and zero help online from the company.

It centers and crops the image on your phone. It has a crop function but does allow you to move from the center position. Pretty basic tool missing.
