[Functions]    
Respond to calls from the entrance station, see the video and talk with the visitors.
Unlock your door from the application. View recordings stored in the intercom master station. Use inside the home through WiFi, or outside the home through 3G/4G connection.

[Concerning usage]    
・This application will work with Aiphone JO series intercoms with WiFi connectivity.
・This application must have an internet connection available either through WiFi or 3G/4G.
・Registration is necessary for establishing a link between the intercom master station and this application. Please refer to the instructions found within the application.
・This application is provided without charge by Aiphone.
・Internet connection fees and data usage fees must be borne by the user. Please confirm with your internet service provider and/or mobile service provider for details.

This is an absolute joke. I get a connection issue everytime i need to answer the doorbell from my iPhone. What was the point of spending $800 in this system if I can’t use it? It’s 2025 and this app feel like a 20 year old application. Complete rip off

There is absolutely no way to mute this app.  It even bypasses do not disturb.  
Fairly often I go to answer and it just says ‘system in use’ and won’t let you connect even though no one else is using it.

Unfortunately there are tons of glitches and it’s impossible to use if you don’t catch it the first time you get the alert and open the app. It will say ‘system in use’ and then no matter how many times you close out the application you can’t use it. Incredibly frustrating. Also the app is super slow to load.

Do not install this system. The app has a lot of problems. It is slow to connect when someone rings. They frequently leave before AIPhone connects, if it connects at all. Many times it just won’t connect to either the camera or to replay the video so you can see who rang the door. Garbage app that ruins an otherwise good hardware system. DoorBird is better.

This is a (new to us) app used for work. Why are we receiving notifications when not at work? We have cellular data turned off for the app. We were told that it would only send notifications when phone is on the same WiFi as the system. Instead we receive every notification no matter if in building or in the next state.  
We would at the very least like the option to set a time schedule of when to receive notifications. Like a do not disturb function.

Functionally,  the hardware works just fine but their app needs a major update and fix. Doesn't have any option to silent notifications. It's super slow and way way way way too basic. They need to work on their app.

AiPhone, I am an Apple developer and really disappointed by this application which my wife and I just installed with our doorbell system. The application needs to be more stable and the UI looks like a high school intern made it. A “Connection Error” prompt occurs frequently, and the unlock feature and camera becomes unusable, which are mainly why most people probably download the application. There are literally millions of apps in the App Store that have effective UI design and for the errors, that just falls on poor software engineering. As I first time user of AiPhone app, I beg you to please fix these issues reported in these reviews, and it’s 2024. There should be no reason for this app not to be great

This app is extremely annoying to use. I use this app to allow delivery drivers to leave packages in the gated area, and when it doesn’t work, I can’t receive packages. When the app works it’s great, but when it doesn’t it’s so frustrating. The most annoying issue is getting a “Connection Error”, then that will prevent you from unlocking the door. You will get “The system is in use. Retry later.”, this error message will prevent you for doing anything for at least 1 minute, even if you force quit the app and try again. You’ll need to wait.. and by then, most delivery drivers will have left by then.

System is in use error should not exist! I should be able to override the current session. This is just bad programming, and it’s very frustrating.

We have had this system installed for months, and all of a sudden the app will not connect to the master unit. We’ve even tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling it, deleting it from the master unit and reconnecting it, and it just doesn’t work anymore. No calls come through to the app and attempting to open the monitor or look at recorded events gives a connection error, which the FAQ does not address at all. This could not be any more bare-bones.

We have installed 3 of the J0-1MDW across our sites and had nothing but problems. The app constantly crashes or just doesn’t respond. Half the time the camera doesn’t function at all and no audio can be heard through the front camera.  The hardware itself is slow to respond and extremely picky about Wi-Fi. The need for the device and the phone to be connected to the same network and able to see each other is frustrating when the device can communicate over the internet. The inability to join the device  to a radius authenticated network that requires a username and password is also frustrating. Avoid models that use this app at all costs!
